welcome to this board...YES YES YES....i have had horrid horrid pains...puts me in mind of gall bladder pain..though mine was removed 28 years ago....i have been to the E.R. twice had many tests run...even exploratory surgery and nothing....now we are trying that i have spasms in my intestines and a new med...the new med worked once for me and not the next time...even liquid vicoden has not eased the pain for me at times..or at the E.R. a shot of morphine did not dull it...this pain last for hours and hours...and i have noticed it happens on the days i seem to have pottied more than normal...or gone more than once that day...some times it just last a short time..but others nothing i seem to do to help it...

God bless you!!! You've gone through so much and still have such a wonderful upbeat attitude. The pictures look GREAT, you guys rock and are an inspiration!! Yes, I have become a clothes horse!! I've given 3 bags away and yet recently did some closet cleaning - not wanting to get rid of some nice clothes but those nice clothes didn't fit. And when I go to the store I look at the shirts/pants and want to buy everything!! But I take it easy cause I know I will be changing sizes and don't want to waste my money getting "big" sizes (14 for now). My sis gave me alot of clothes so it looks like I've spent a ton of money on new outfits. I know the people at work think I must be spending a fortune on clothes and they don't know it's cheap and some hand-me downs, hehehe..i don't care what they think. I feel good with the new clothes...who would have ever thunk I'd wear an off the should top? I was always wearing t-shirts and baggy jeans, etc. So i'm living it up to - and beside wearing these nice smaller sizes keeps me working towards my goal!! So Christina, live it up. I too change my hair color alot (though just reds, blonde and auburn (no purples, etc) but you do what you want and have FUN!!! Congratulations to both of you. You deserve it!

Hi Joy, Welcome to the 9/2004 board! I'm glad you found it. It is so nice to read what others at the same juncture of this process are experiencing as we go through all of these changes. Yes-I have the same problem with the excruciating abdominal pain. I did the whole call the dr thing too, and they said that after WLS, we can experience unbelievable gas pains because of the way we have been "rerouted" inside. My dr has me take two or three extra strength TUMS and two extra strength anti-gas CHEWABLES and walk around a little *****as to be the chewables or liquid to act fast,) and it really seems to help. The first time this happened to me was about 3 months ago, and I had to have my hubby pull over the car so I could get out and straighten out and walk awhile. I was literally crying and sobbing it hurt so bad. The second time was today actually, and I did the TUMS/anti-gas chewables and walked around and it passed way quicker. I'm not a doc of course, so I can't say this is what you're experiencing, but when this happened to me the first time I was terrified! I thought I had torn something or my staple line had ruptured. I hope this helps. Blessings, Tonya -150lbs 368/218/?

I just realized that there is a 9/2004 message board. Maybe you all can help. Has any one had any problems with abdominal pains? I mean incapacitating pains? It has happened to me twice and this last time I had to go to the ER only to find out that labs were fine and the only thing that the xrays showed were stool in my intestines BUT I am having BM's just about daily. The pain was so bad this last time that I had nausea, profuse sweating and dizziness. If anyone has had this happen I would love to hear from you. I am really very scared. I have follow up with my surgeon and family MD next week but the last time I talked to the surgeons office they said it can't be surgery related if I am having BM's. Thanks for listening and any input would be appreciated.

I can.... Fit in the captain chairs of my dining room table Fit very comfortably in an airplane seat and NOT need an extender! Fit in & ride any roller coaster I want Sit in my desk chair even if the adjustable arms are turned toward the smaller fit position Do the treadmill for 90 minutes and decide to do more because I want another mile Sleep without my c-pap with my doctor's ok!!
