Date scheduled Oct.9 2008--new to this site

I am new to this site, but I am looking forward to meeting many new friends and supporters. I have my date for lap-RNY scheduled for Oct. 9. I go for my pre-op appt. on Tues. Sept. 16. I am very excited and nervous. I have never had any surgery before--so I'm not sure what to expect.

Congratulations on your date.  I have had surgery before but not this one.  It is going to change our lives!

Hello! I have the same surgery date! Seems odd so many of us are "doing" this on the same date in all different places! LOL!

My surgery date is Oct 8th so I certainly understand how you are feeling.
