Another LaDonna Update.
OMG!!!! I FEEL THE SAME WAY! I droped like 18 pounds the first week, and only around 12 over the next three weeks. I let myeslf obsess over the scale. I have really been trying to not get on it but once a week. I have read here that there are stalls. Your body is kinda like "hey, where's my food" then eventually it will decide that it is getting all it's going to get and VIOLA!, there goes a bunch of pounds. It is so easier said than done, BELIVE ME!! But, stick with it, everyone says they go through stages. The first fourth months are critical, and I bet into month five we will all be like, "Damn, I am looking so hot it was all so worth it!!"
Keep up the good work. Healthy lives are in our future!
Patricia, I think this is just how it works. I have the same experiences as you do. I lost 17 pounds in the first four weeks. The scale moved for two weeks and then didn't move at all for the next two weeks. I think it is normal for us to worry that our surgery will be the surgery that baffles the professionals and makes headlines. I can see my headline now: "350 Pound Woman Has Major Surgery and Doesn't Lose!"
However, at seven weeks out I can say I've now lost 26 pounds. Not as much as many but combined with my 34 pounds pre-surgery weight loss, I'm down 60 pounds. So it is coming off. Albeit slowly!
Hang in there!

my nut has told me to messure so I can see progress even when the scale doesn't move - she also told me that if I walk in her office in a size 8 at 200 pounds she is not giving me any hassel LOL
the other thing she suggests is that you make sure you are getting all the protien you need so your body can lose and stay at least partially healthy

Yep...I know the feeling! I had surgery 3/24 and beginning 4/7 I lost nothing for over two weeks (in fact, I gained three pounds). I eventually began losing again. A lot of have the stall...I hate the stall....but have faith that it WILL come off. I'm not good with patience but I'm learning. Chin up and stay positive! Laura
Hang in there, Patricia. We're in the same boat. I lost 33 lb the first 5 weeks; in the past 3 weeks, I've lost 6 lb. It feels like the scale might as well NOT be moving if it's going to be this slow! I even started a pretty good exercise program about 2 weeks ago and it's made no difference. I can relate. However .... everyone keeps reassuring me that things will change. So I wait.
I'm going to start weighing once a week. It seems like a good idea.
Good luck to you!
it tracks all of your weight loss etc, if you have kept track of your weights since surgery just add it in and it will calculate everything for you... you will actually see just how well you have done....
go to this site and sign up.....it's free and i promise you will love it
