Topic: RE: Start @ 315#s
My first weigh in with the doc was 356, I was down to 337 by my surgery date, however, since no one else has chimed in, I'll tell you how I'm doing....
At almost 7 months, I'm down 103 lbs... I think it could be more if I'd cut out eating out so much, but I'm more than thrilled to be down this far....
I exercise 5 days a week, we have a gym at my office so that helps alot!
I do 1 and 1/2 to 2 miles on the treadmill all 5 days.... I also work my legs on the weight machines 3 days a week and alternate with my arms the other 2 days....
I started out drinking just my 64 ozs, but after using a hydration calculator that was on MSN.com a few weeks back, I've upped that to at least 100 to 125 ozs a day, and I can really tell the difference!
Only odd change is that I really love my exercise and miss it when I don't get to go into the office!
Best WOW moment so far was going from a 32W to a 18/20W in pants!
Hang in there and keep working that tool!

Topic: RE: Poll Question
I just posted an overall update, but to continue this one... I've lost 105 pounds as of my doctor's visit yesterday. I don't own a scale and therefore, don't worry about plateaus. I've noticed slow downs from time to time, but keep plugging along, doin' what I'm supposed to be doin' and it's working. My feeling is this is not a race
it's a lifestyle change and there's a constant
I have not been on the plateau buster diet, but have read from folks who have and had success on it.
Good luck!
Tammy

Topic: RE: What did we eat today???
Hey Bethany:
Yesterday, I was home from work, so a little different that usual work day:
Breakfast:
1 mug of coffee with lite creamer and equal
1 slice of lite, wheat bread toasted with 2 oz cheddar cheese melted on top
Mid AM:
1 mug of coffee with lite creamer and equal
1 slice of lite, wheat breat toasted with "I can't believe it's not butter"
Lunch:
6" Italian BMT from Subway on Oregano/Cheese bread, toasted, with lettuce and tomato... I ate all the meat and veggies but only about half the bread
1/2 package of baked lays chips (first time I tried these)
Afternoon:
protein shake
Dinner:
1 Chicken soft taco with grilled chicken, cheese, lettuce, and a dab of sour cream. (did not finish all the tortilla)
2 grilled shrimp (off my daughter's plate)
Late evening:
8-10 Apple Cinnamon flavored soy crisps
Also had 5-6 glasses of water and crystal lite
PS: I don't normally have such a CARB-filled day! Yesterday was unusually heavy on the carbs!

Topic: I'm BACK and Update
Hello My surgery sisters and brothers from Nov 2005!
I haven't been posting on this board the past two months, and limited on my VA board, but I have missed you all and read postings when possible. Here's an update from Tammy's world:
April 1: Started new job
April 5: First night of my LAST class needed to complete my MBA
April 7: Husband fell through attic, shashed his lower leg, ankle, and foot, requiring surgery and two hospital stays over a two week period.
April 10: Mother-in-law came from NJ to help take care of hubby and stayed with us for the next two weeks.
Late May: Husband given ok to drive and BACK TO WORK
Yesterday: Last night of my Last class needed to complete my MBA (YEAH), went to doctor due to a swollen shut eye (infected) only to discover that I now weight 198!! Onderland and Century Club... HERE I AM!
My eye is still swollen shut, and uncomfortable, but yesterday was so exciting, I didn't care. Oh, and no more high blood pressure medicine either!
I hope everyone is ready for a FANTASTIC summer
Hugs,
Tammy

Topic: RE: Poll Question
I have lost about 120 Pounds.
I feel better than I have in many many years.
Weight loss has slowed down.
I exercise more, than I used to, and do not get out of breath as often.
I have not weighed this amount in over 20 yeats.
Still have a long way to go.

Congratulations! Those WOWs are incredible and I am SO VERY happy for you! I can't come up with mine right now, but I had to say how great you are doing!

Topic: RE: Have any of you had icecream yet?
I've had SF Turkey Hill, Breyer's and Edys. I do ok on it, but I only eat a wee bit. I know Rita's Water Ice has SF (well some locations do) and I enjoy that more...it's more of a liquid so I don't feel as guilty eating it! Crazy I know.

I had 1/2 cup of the now sugar added Ben 7 Jerry's Vanilla Choc. Chunk. I did not get sick, but have had some really nast gas since then (and it has been a few days!). I do not dare try the regular stuff-with my luck, i would not get sick & then I would never again be able to resist.
There are some new sugar free popscicles though that rock--diet dr. pepper & diet A & W root beer flavored in the same box (diet orange crush too, but I don't like orange)
Happy summer!
