I am so upset! I think it may be my antidepression meds. I am calling the doc tomorrow to ask about it!

My surgery was on Nov 18. Next MD apptmt isn't till mid-June and I don't have/want a bathroom scale, so I don't really know how much I've lost. BUT........as of my last MD apptmt on April 13, I was down 85 lbs.. I have my fingers and toes crossed that I have lost over 90 by this month, but we'll have to wait and see. I feel great, though. Feeling rather "slim" for the first time in a long, long time!! Size L/XL tops and otherwise, around a 14/16 depending on cut, etc.. Still have a ways to go, but I think I will get there. Have even bought some M tops and size 12 capris in anticipation of that day. Optimistic, aren't I? Happy month of May to everyone!! *Kam*

Surgery date: November 7 5'0 Was size 20 clothes pushing higher, 1 X shirt NOW size 12 clothes, size Medium shirt Finally average size, Praise God! The compliments I receive are amazing, I get them at least 2-5 times a day. People just don't recognize me. HA HA. Not everyone knows what I have done, but the ones that do don't tell the world so that makes it that much sweeter. I still have issues with food choices, and I wish I could decide what to eat. I finally found a couple of things I like but seriously I cannot live on my calorie intake for life. Congrats everyone!

Jasmine, you and I have the same start weight, and weigh the same now. I'm 5'6, I started at 376, I was 348 at surgery, and I now weigh 263. I'm also in a 2x, and am a 22/24. I have plateaud for the past month - have only lost 3 lbs in 30 days. This is very frustrating for me, as I spent the last week in Orlando and must have walked at LEAST 20 miles, but the scale only went down a pound. HMPH! Either way, i'll take 113 lbs! (85 since surgery 5 months ago).

Jacki; I had my tape measure ready and raring to go last weekend. I don't know if the dogs took it or what, but I can't find it to save my life this week. I've been looking for it since Thursday. So, I'm posting without new measurements, I was down 42 inches as of 4/5/2006. I am down 78 lbs. as of this morning. I've got 38 lbs. to goal. My BMI is 30.0, so I'm mere ounces from only being overweight instead of obese. At times, I can't believe how different my life is, yet other days, I see how much they've stayed the same. Since I really can't see my loss without looking at photos, I've started to feel like I'm trapped in a house that the entire outside has been renovated, and I know my neighbors are happy about it, but I don't get to enjoy it. Anyone else have a similar feeling? Then, I think of the ways my life is different. Working out more and more, sleeping less, having more energy, smaller clothes, fitting comfortably in airline seats, etc. and I can't believe it hasn't even been 6 months since my RNY. I'm looking forward to going to Six Flags in a few weeks. I LOVE roller coasters and it will be so fun to be able to ride again. I'm also looking forward to going home for my husband's cousin's wedding at the end of June. It will be the first time for most of our families to see me, so that will be exciting. I am currently 3 lbs. from my wedding day weight. My 9th wedding anniversary is on 5/31, so I'm excited that this will be the first time I've ever weighed less than my wedding day since I got married. And finally, my exciting accomplishment of the week was closing my Lane Bryant account. I'm happy to hear everyone is doing so well. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 175 / 137

Hi everyone, I also have 2 weeks to go before I'm 6 months out, but it's close enough : ). I am very happy with my progress, even if it is starting to slow down. My highest weight was 378#'s. I am down to 219 (a week ago) for a total of 159 #'s, 93#'s are post-op. I haven't taken my measurement's in a couple of months ~guess I'll do that tomorrow. I was in a size 30/32 pant's and depending on who/how it was made anywhere from a 3x to a 6x top. I now take a 16 pant's and a 1x or a x lg. depends on how/who makes it. I am half the woman I used to be just a few short months ago. I am looking for a job. I haven't been able to work in over 2 years now. I am so ready to work again : ). I love to walk, roller skate/blade, and go to the gym to work out. I went canoeing with my son already this spring. That was a goal I was hoping to accomplish before he left for boot camp in June. This will be a busy summer for me. In June my support group & hospital bariatric unit are having a skating party, we are also going to Cedar Point. In July we are going camping together. We are planning a trip to the zoo as well. In July my daughter, grandson and I are going to visit my sister in Florida. We will visit N.A.S.A. and Disney World while we're there. In August we will go to Georgia to visit my son on family day in boot camp. Then in September We will go back for his graduation from boot camp. In September 11 people from my hospital support group are going sky diving. I am looking forward to that. It's something I've always wanted to try. This will be the busiest Summer I've ever had, it will probably be the best I've ever had to boot : ). I hope you all enjoy your summer as much as I hope to enjoy mine. HAVE FUN BUT STAY SAFE. May God bless you all, Annette
