I am 4 months post op lap RNY Dec 9 down from BMI 55 to 43.2 and 73 lbs, my adult daughter had lap RNY a month ahead of mine NOV 7 and has lost about 113lbs. I think it depends on activity level plus how overweight you are to begin with. ??

Dee; I started at 5' 2.5" and 253. I lost 12 lbs. with my pre-op diet and was 241 on day of surgery. I'm now 5'4" and 182, so 59 lbs. since surgery, 71 lbs. overall. I had an appointment with my surgeon last week and she said now that I'm past the first three months, I should be losing 8-10 lbs. a month. So other than the discrepancy in monthly weight loss goals from our surgeons, it sounds like we're tracking similar. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 182 / 137

Hi there I was curious ( I get everyone is different) about people who started off like me.....I'm 5'2 and weighed 237 (43 bmi) when i had surgery. Now I'm 180 (32.9 bmi) totaling a loss of 57lbs. I'm very happy with the loss but was wondering where others might be. My dr. told me to expect 1lb a week and that he would be happy with 5lbs a month. What about you dee
