Topic: RE: What did you do this weekend???
Hi Jennifer,
Yes it was very nice weather on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Up in the 60's you know that is warm for this time of year. But alas, I live in Michigan....Today it's very cold low 30's and snowing BURRR. I want the warm weather back! It sounds like you had an interesting weekend. Sorry your feet hurt. Hope you get the rest and nutrition you need.
God bless you,
Annette

Way to go Christine!!!
I know that feeling! I have stalled and stalled and stalled! But when the scale begins to move, man does it feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel good!
Congratulations, keep up the great work and enjoy your 'adult' time!!!

Topic: Measurements may help get us through slow downs in weight loss
The day before my surgery, I took several body measurements.
After many tried and failed weight loss attempts, I have learned that sometimes the scale is not always the best way to keep encouraged.
When I look at the fact that I have lost over 9 inches off my waist and hips, it helps me stay on track.
I have lost 71 pounds, and that helps, too.

~Happy and Smiling today!!~
This morning it finally happened! I hit my 50 lb mini-goal! I am SO happy! I scheduled my pedicure/manicure/facial etc. for next week with the hopes of hitting goal by then and here I am! I honestly thought the day wouldn't come after being stuck at 47 lbs for 2 weeks.
Now, my next mini-goal...ONEDERLAND! It's actually starting to seem not too far off (8 lbs) and then I'm really rewarding myself (and hubby too!) with an overnight in AC (we NEED this badly even without hitting 199, but 199 just sounds like a more valid reason than "adult time").
Soon I'll have to come up with a new mini-goal I guess! Darn that is a great feeling!
Thanks for listening as I beam!!!
Christine

Hi Annette,
Glad you had such a nice weekend. I had one of the nicest weekends of my life and the weather was horrible. This feeling good is great isn't it?

Annette;
I grew up about 10 miles from Kent Lake. The weather up there must have been really spring like if you were able to go rollerblading.
On Saturday, my hubby's cousin and uncle (from Whitmore Lake) were in Corpus Christi for a bowling tournament, so we drove out to the coast to see them. It was crazy hot...90s and very humid at the coast. I've gotten used to living in a much drier environment, so it was almost uncomfortable.
Sunday, I drove to Austin for SXSW. My company is exhibiting, so I got the booth set up and worked the exhibition for 6 hours.
I just finished the exhibition again today. My feet are killing me. Thankfully, tomorrow is only a 4 hour day and then booth tear down and drive home.
Well, I need to run out to find something to eat. When I'm tired and away from home, I miss not being able to just run out for something fast. Last night, I ended up laying down to put my feet up, watched the Sopranos and fell asleep - no dinner last night...
Blessings,
Jennifer
