Thanks, Jennifer, I just felt that it was going to slow. I am my own worst critic and I always have been.

Hi surgery-date-sister! 67 pounds is great! Everybody loses at a different rate, but that seems to be right in range, especially with your early complications. Just be happy that you are now no longer in obese weight range but merely overweight! Walking every day is a great idea. My surgeon was most insistent that we should walk daily if we could, about 45 minutes a day. Don't worry about putting on muscles. We should welcome *some* muscle. Although they weight more than fat, they also burn up a lot more calories so will actually help weight loss. It's not like we're going to end up like a weightlifter by walking daily! In fact, you might want to add a strength training activity a couple of times a week that will build muscle to add to your walking. Relax and just think of all that you've accomplished. You've lost 67 pounds for ever. You're getting exercise. I bet you've lost plenty of inches! All in less than 4 months. Concentrate on the good. You are not a failure Helen

Stephanie; According to your profile, your BMI is 29.4. You've lost 67 lbs is less than 4 months and you're in the overweight category with your BMI. I had my surgery 5 days after you. I've lost 62 lbs and my BMI is currently 32.8. I've still got about 14 lbs to go to be out of the obese category which leads me to believe your pre-op weight was lower than mine. I think you're doing great. Don't be so hard on yourself. We didn't put all this excess weight on in 6 months, I think it would be a lot to expect it all to come off that fast. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 191 / ???

Hi...I have the same problem. Thankfully, I started out with really thick hair. It doesn't look that thin, but everytime I wa**** I have bunches and have to rinse in from my hands...the same when I comb it or bru**** My son told me the other day that my brush was grody and i needed to clean the hair from it...haha I bought some biotin yesterday and hope it helps some. Someone else told me to buy biotin shampoo? I am going to check the local beauty supply store i guess. Good luck girl Beth G Pelham, AL

You have lost a lot. According to my doctor, that is within the right range. Remember though, muscle weighs more than fat and if you are exercising that much, that could be your problem. I am not a doctor and neither is my grandma or mom, and both of them told me not to exercise more than 3-4 times per week and no more than 30-45 minutes each time. Anymore than that and you are liable to turn that fat right to muscle. If you don't mind that, then ok. Look at how your clothes fit instead of what the scale says. I am sure all of us wish we would have lost more by now. I know I do (mine is from being impatient). I want to be at my goal weight, but it takes time. Watch your clothes and you'll see the difference.

Nope not yet, getting closer though. I am at 82 pounds. I did the same thing you did though. I hit a plateau that lasted about 2.5 weeks. Glad it started coming off again though. I am down to a size 16. Woo-Hoo!!! Haven't been this small since high school. Lookin forward to more coming off.

I had my surgery on 11-10-06 and I have lost a total of 67 pounds. I feel like I have not lost enough in this amount of time. I started out having complications and was not able to get all my protein and water in everyday. I still cannot eat a whole lot due to all the liquids I drink. I am so frustrated. I am walking 45 minutes and trying to do this everyday. I also bought a treadmill and plan on walking an hour a day on it. My husband has to put it together. Please help, feeling like a failure. Stephanie
