I feel better than I have in years! I posted on your previous post about my eating habits... no need to go there again. I've lost 57 pounds as of Monday. I'll weight myself again this morning when I go to physical therapy. I've lost 2 - 3 clothing sizes, but still much bigger on bottom than top... depressing. I am in an XL top, but 24 bottoms. Darn tummy and hips Have a good day everyone!! Hugs, Tammy

Hi Christine, I've also been on regualr food about a month.... and HEY, 61 pounds is GREAT!! Truly, I can eat anything, low fat and no sugar. STAY AWAY from dry meats... make sure they are moist and "fall apart." My only troubles were having a dry pork chop and not chewing a piece of chicken well enough. Although I hated it pre-op, I now focus on dark meat chicken and turkey because of its moisture and tenderness. As you are planning your menu, focus on protein first, veggies second, carbs last. I find that I crave variety, so have lots of options. For example, at work I'll bring tuna salad, chili, shaved deli lunch meat and yogurt. That way I can pick and choose what I want, and I can eat my smaller meals more easily throughout the day. Lean cuisines are also good to have on hand. I can usually only eat 1/2, but nice for a quick meal. By the way, I can do eggs with no problem... scrambled, poached, hard boiled, omlette, egg salad... Another suggestion, check out "WLS recipies" by googling that phrase. I've found lots of ideas that way. Good luck! Tammy

I'm a 11/7 girl too. I am doing well. Working out 4-5x a week, no vomiting yet (crossing fingers), and just trying to figure out why my body can't determine what kind of bathroom habits I should have month to month. I eat almost anything that is lowfat, sugar free, and a decent protein. So far only 2 things have not agreed with me (felt terrible - like I had a rock in my stomach), and both weren't really great choices to start with. I've lost 40 lbs (beating my Dr's goal by .5 lb) and I am well over 25% of my excess weight lost. I still get frustrated sometimes when I see others who have lost so much more already, but my Dr. was very good about explaining why/how I am losing as I am and also about charting out where I can expect to be each month. Although I do have to say, despite the low pounds, I've lost over 10 inches in my hips, waist and thighs each, and I didn't measure my bust because that's just too darn depressing. I just went shopping and bought a size XL tshirt (could've had the L, but didn't like the way my arms/wings looked) and a size 18 pants...I haven't been this size in YEARS. Here's to 11/7! Christine

Man, I had surgery Nov. 28th and I've been on regular foods for a month now. And I'm doing great. Just can't eat real eggs, I guess to much fats in the yoke. Evrything goes down fine, Just take small bites, chew well and eat slowly.
