Topic: One year and four days later .....'-)
I am happy to report that I have lost approximately 95 pounds and am down to a healthy weight. The year has gone by quickly and I really haven't had any problems -- other than trying to remember my iron tablets on a daily basis. I am so happy I did this - the only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Best of luck to those thinking of having this surgery. My surgeon was terrific (and still is). The support group meetings are great.

Topic: One Year
Well, one year has passed for me. I updated my profile here, and as soon as I get them developed, a new picture. Not that it looks much different, but its' one year out. I spent most of the weekend in bed, sick. Fibromyalgia. I hurt so bad, I just stayed in bed. Sleep is the best medicine for it anyway, and I haven't been sleeping well. My weight is the same between 197-199. Back and forth it goes. I sure would like to loose another 25lbs, but, well, I guess it's not going to happen. I'm in a 16 with a lot of 14's, depending on the cut, so that sure is better than a 28-30. My health is good, for the most part, and the Zelnorm works great. No more tummy troubles in that area. Still get gas that's unreal, and Phazyme and other gas meds don't touch it, but I can live with that. NOt sure if Joe can.

Hi Joan, We've not met before and I'm glad to meet you. Thank you for responding and letting me know I'm not alone. This thing is so painful, but I go see the surgeon tomorrow and my guess is that he'll want to schedule me for surgery relatively quick....if I could get a tummy tuck approved at the same time it sure would be a nice bonus to all this
Kaiser is hard to get approved for that though, but don't think I won't try, hehe.
Sounds like either way we'll both be on the mend this month from surgery. I hope all goes well with you...please keep me posted.
You will also be in my prayers.
Diane

Hi Lorraine, sorry it took so long for me to reply to everyone that has responded to this.
I can always count on you my
to respond to my post's. The truth is everyone here that responds and takes the time to even view post's without responding is an
in their own way.
I really do hope things turn out okay for me. I just can't handle trying to work two jobs, go to school, and take care of the house. I guess this is Gods way of telling me to slow down a little huh?
I will know tomorrow morning about the hernia and sometime this week about the ovary problems.

I will update everyone tomorrow.
Love,
Diane

Thank you Ruthanna, I really appreciate the support I get here. It makes me feel good to know we are here for each other and understand each other on a level non-wls people ever could.
Thanks for your prayers they are much needed and appreciated.
