Congratulations Joan. We also share the same surgery date of 12/15. I plan to ask my surgon about a lower body lift at my 1st year anniversary visit on 12/21. I hope it works out for both of us.

Topic: Hernia for my 1yr.
I've been in the hospital with extreme pain at one of my inscision sights, had a cat scan and they found a nice big hernia. It needs to be operated on ASAP. I have an appt. on Mon. morning for the surgeon. Along with the hernia they found a growth on my only remaining ovary. I had a partial hysterectomy when I was 20, I had cervical cancer that was spreading. I had an ultra-sound yesterday, and will know soon the results on that.
Good news is I've finally made it to under 200 lbs!!! current weight is 197.5 !!!! I find it hard to celebrate though with all this pain I am in.
Please pray for me. I will keep everyone here posted about whats happening. I am so scared.

Topic: RE: another thing I struggle with
Jenni, Hi there.
After going through this struggle, I have made a goal for myself. I am there at 133 pds. I wanted to be 135 pds and have come to it. I don't pay attention to anyone who seems to think I am too thin or any negative comments they make. I am my judge. Now I must maintain and it is me who will do it not them.
Peace and
...Lorraine

Keep us posted and
"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU TOO"
Don't worry about those few pounds up and down. Weight seems to do that every day. The important part is that you are a loser.

Topic: My 1 year check-up
HI there to all my friends here on this message board,
Well yesterday was my 1 year check-up. My anniversary is December 15th. It will be 1 year since I was reborn. As of today I am healthy and happy. I started my journey at 245lbs and now I seem to remain at 133 lbs -112 pds. My dr said that is quite fine. I am 5ft6 and to me this is the weight I would love to maintain.
Can I maintain? I sure hope so.
Life is much better for me now. After 18 years of being single I have met someone, who makes me happy.
I hope there is a future with this person. I will see my Dr, in 6 months again. I thanked him over and over again for saving my life. I am such a cry baby
I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes also.He hugged me and told me he would see me in June.
I hope everyone has a great 1 year anniversary. We have worked hard this past year and we all have acheived amazing weight losses.
So................Lets have fun again and add it up.
Lorraine

Topic: I reached the 100 pounds lost goal!!!!!
Hi everyone,
I have reached my goal of 100 pounds gone before my anniversary date, it is still hard to believe. Unfotunately I will probably back in surgery around my anniversary date to get the hernia I have fixed. I may also get a tummy tuck at the same time if my insurance will pay for it. My plastic surgeon said that with my body type and muscle mass a tummy tuck now should be okay even if I were to lose another 20-25 pounds. Hopefully he is right. Thanks for all of your support and happy anniversary to you all.
