Topic: RE: panniculectomy?
Hi Melinda,
I had a panniculectomy and lower body lift on December 13, 2005, so I am a little over 6 weeks post-op. I will be happy to answer any of your questions, feel free to email me personally.
As an aside, if you still have 40lbs to lose, your doctor will likely make you wait. I am at my goal weight, well, actually, I'm 5 lbs over my intended goal weight, but I have been maintaining steady now for over 3 months. The key is to have maintained your current weight for at least that long before a doctor will consider plastic surgery.

I went for a consultation and they said it was best to be 18 months out and at a steady weight for 6 months.
Topic: Update on husband & biggest loser game
Hi everyone,
You probably all wondered where Donna went. I'm still here
First let me update you on my darling husband Ron.
The Doctors office called yesterday to tell us the results of the polyp they removed from Ron. It was pre canceras so Ron must be checked every two to three years now.
Ron will be going on February 7 to see the upper GI Doctor and then they will decide when to do the Capsule Endoscopy. Who knows, we might never find the source of the bleeding as his PCP said that sometimes things do heal themselves but if we don't find the cause then maybe it was a blessing from above that it happened as we would have never found that polyp and had it removed.
I have been busy with our loving Liz http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=S1120763381 on doing the greatests losers between December 2004 and January 2005 babies. I don't think the Jan. babies are into playing the game like Liz and I are. Liz has been keeping totals and I was emailing every single December 2004 baby and what a job that was but it was fun as I got to read many profiles and just finished emailing the last baby today, WOO HOO
In all honesty I think Liz and I just want to see how many pounds we have all shed in a years time and it's way over 30 thousand pounds. As of today 180 people have responded to our post and I hope many more will respond.

Topic: RE: protein powder?
I love the powders I found, Jay Robb's whey protein. Delicious and really enjoyable. I mix a scoop of chocolate, vanilla, or the new pina colada with 6-8 oz Hoods Simply Smart fat free milk. This gives me 35 grms protein with no sugar and such a good drink. Even after almost 14 months post op, I have one or sometimes two drinks a day. I find that when I stall with my loss if I boost my protein the weight moves on off.
Continued good luck women.
