I am mostly a lurker but I have been registered since early 2004, I think. I come to this site at least 3-4 times a day and most of the time my questions are answered just by reading others' posts. I am sure this has been asked over and over but this time its ME that hurt and I need you guys help. I am 13 months post op lap RNY. I have lost 83 pounds with absolutely no complications. Thank God. BUT...Friday at work we had ordered Chinese(chung tu beef), I had just started eating making sure I still chew, chew, chew. I was eating mostly the beef with some carrots and water chestnuts. About 3-4 minutes in to the meal I started getting a grabbing, gnawing pain (spasms) about an inch above my belly button. I had this pain once before when I ate McD's chicken nuggets and it lasted about an hour then I was fine. On Friday I had to finally leave work after about an hour and the pain continued for 11 more hours and stopped just as suddenly as it had started. I was not nauseous, and could drink water (small amounts, when you hurt like that--about a 7 on the pain scale--you don't want much going in there). I did call the dr. he of course said "go to the emergency room if it is super bad" or we will get you in with a gastroenterologist on monday. Anyway have any of you had this and could you shed some lite on it for me. Sorry such a long post, but this is the short version.

Donna I am sorry about your husband. My husband had heart surgery about 3 years ago. And my world just fill apart... We have been married for 29 years this Feb. My prayers are with you and your family... Brenda

I hope that my prayers have reached to all of you in need. I have not wrote in a few months now. With the holiday and all. I have not lost any weight since about 5 months ago... What are you guys eating. What Am I Doing Wrong??? Thanks Brenda
