Tracy, Are you working out?? Adding muscle to the mix will stop that.. I have stopped working out from getting sick for the last 2 weeks, and started losing fast again.. My pcp said stop you are starting to look sick, well I was sick so she can kiss my butt lol.. Anyway when we had the surgery our body ate the muscle to survive, now we have to add it back into the mix.. Try doing some arobics or something that involves 5-15lb hand weights.. Michelle

Tracy, I was just reading an article in a magazine about WLS and how most post op patients loose over their ideal weight in the first 12-18 mos and then regain up to their ideal body weight in years 3-5. Maybe this is you. Deana

Liz, here is another one's post to the biggest loser. My name is Tabitha Cooper and I had my bypass surgery on December 2, 2004 and as of 1-11-06 I have lost 168 pounds. I have eight pounds to be at my goal weight. I started out at 381 pounds and my doctor set my goal weight at 205 pounds. Me personally I want to see 185 pounds, but we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for including me, be sure to let me know how it goes. Tabitha Cooper.

Hey Christine, I had all my lab work done also. My B-12 was down but I haven't been taking my pills. The doctor told me if it was hard to remember to take one every day that the injections might be better because its just once a month so I may opt for that. He also said I needed to take my iron and calcium but the levels were okay. He said to just get in the habit of it everyday, think of it like taking the place of BP, Chol, and BS meds. Anyway it sounds like a B-12 injection might get your energy level up. Take Care Deana

I am anemic, I have extremely low iron, and very low B-12 which will require injections. I already knew I had low iron levels (I've been told that for years, and stupid iron supplements don't help). I've also had anemia for some time now, though it was only an iron-deficiency anemia due to all the blood disorders/diseases I've had over the years. I am waiting for the doctor's office to mail me the lab results so I can see the numbers for myself. I've read that some people take B-12 supplements (tablets) and don't get the injections. How do I know which is right for me? Does the doctor just automatically assume I need the injections because that's easiest? No wonder I am so freakin' rundown and tired all the time. I swear, by 5:00 every day I'm falling asleep. ~ Christine ~ 278 / 257 / 151 / 137 Highest Weight / Surgery Weight / Current Weight / Surgeon's Goal From a size 22/24 to a size 5 !!
