What is it, do you guys think, that causes us lapses in judgement on the weekends? What is it about Sat & Sun that makes us lose our mind sometimes? For me i think that it is lack of structure in my day. When i am going to work i wake up have a glass of tea- go to the office lunch about 12 go to the gym after work then dinner about 7. I usually have a snack after dinner before bed which I count as my third meal. But the weekends are so willy nilly when i get off track i am usually off.. how can i fix that?

Great recommendation on both the daily e-mails and both cookbooks. Especially nice is the fact that most of her recipes don't make huge amounts so you aren't always left with having to handle delicious leftovers that will make you want to overeat. How thoughtful is that?!
The peanut butter cookie one today sounds great, I want to try it with our PB2 reconstituted.

Exactly! Well, I look at the successful long-term post-ops who are still with my local group. They use sugar free products in moderation and that is what I have to aim for. Did buy some agave sweetener today to try. It isn't artificial and not as high a glycemic index listing as sugar. Hope to be brave enough to try to make something with it in the next few days.
Hope the time will pass quickly till you get rid of that mean tooth. Try to keep comfortable till then!
Hugs,
Molly

STILL PAINFUL BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE.....................
I ONLY HAVE 7 MORE DAYS TIL THEY TAKE IT OUT UUUUGGGGHHHH
1.) on-line dating is no longer just for the desperate/needy/losers, etc. (yes, some people on-line are but, in general, many are busy, good or at least decent looking self-confident professionals--the typpe of people most would find "datable"--i know most of the time i end up pleasantly surprised and wise versa.)
2.) the first time, always arrange to meet at a punlic place and only give out your cell no.--i haven't met eny creeps but, hey, safety first.
3.) i use jdate.com--but it's geared primarily towards non-religious jewish singles and, just in case you happen to be jewish, can highly recommend it. i've also heard great things about match.com (and mixed reviews about plentyoffish)..match.com, even though not free, tends to attract a classier clientelle. Have been meaning to try it myself but have been too busy. Maybe you can give it a try and let me know the inside scoop.
If you'd like to talk about dating on-line or otherwise, ask away--i'm very open.
cheers,
Nat
OH LORD WHAT NEXT!!! FRUITS AND VEGGIES WILL BE BAD FOR US TOO?

I TELL YA IT'S ALMOST LIKE DARNED IF YOU DO AND DARNED IF YOU DON'T ISN'T IT?
OH WELL WHAT'S A BODY TO DO?

Glad you have your support group lecture tonight, that will help you get yourself re-energized and back on track by itself. Hope that you are able to get that bloat down so you feel more comfortable in your skin and your post-op garment AND get over that virus! There is flu going around here. I think I had the 24 hr tummy bug last Friday and yet didn't lose a single pound. Nope, I just kept on eating right through it baby. Dedicated. That's me.
At support group last week we had a little mini artificial sweetener intervention. The surgeon's office REALLY doesn't want post-ops (esp. post-honeymooners) to have so much sweetener in their diet because they are finding an alarming rate of us who are gaining weight from using them too heavily. They say that our guts are re-wiring and turning them into sugars as if they really were sugar. That is alarming and I wonder if it is backed up by any actual research or just anecdotal.
So, I've been trying to cut back my Splenda use and you know from recipes I post here normally that is a tall order. WAAAAY TALL!
I'll keep you posted.
Have a good meeting tonight!
Hugs,
Molly
