Heya Tom!

You're doing great!  It's pretty amazing to see how fast time goes, huh?  I'm 2 weeks ahead of you, and just passed 31 pounds this morning.  I was stalled at 27 pounds for about 2 1/2 weeks.  Was getting very frustrated.  Took some measurements, and I'd lost another 10 inches while stalled.  How does that happen?!  LOL.

Anyways, keep up the good work, and the great spirits!

Best,

Fay

Topic: Anyone eating cooked broccoli yet?
Hi all. My favorite vegetable is cooked broccoli. Anyone eating it yet?  If so, how is it going down? My RNY was 12/9/08.  I don't see the doctor until 2/4/09, which is why I'm posting.

Sort of related - I had salmon last night and squeezed a whole lemon onto it to moisten it. No problems. My RNY was 12/9/08. Down about 30 lbs

You sound like you are doing very well. Keep up the great work. It is work too isn't it? I have to think so much harder about what I am going to eat now. I take my time shopping. I cook more. Nothing is really pre-packaged and no fast food. It is definitely more work.

Yesterday I used some of the machines at the gym along with some free weights. I was supposed to go to the gym today but I will have to go tonight. I have to take my son to an appt.
I hadn't seen the scale move either for a bit. I got on last Thurs and then again Mon. The difference was 4 lbs. That was good to see. Good luck with your loss.

Topic: First "Fill"
Hey everybody,

Good to see that all my December peeps are doing well!  I am down 35 lbs to date.  I am a Lapbandster and am currently scheduled to get my FIRST "fill" on February 10.  I am totally looking forward to that because my stomach is no longer swollen from surgery and my band is not tight so there is little restriction at the moment.  That should change with the "fill".   But I have to say, eventhough I have little or no restriction at the moment ....there is still a difference....and I love it.  Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say "hey"......hit me up when you get a chance....

Great job, 30 lbs in six weeks is awesome.

Me... I'm stuck at 25 lbs. I am glad I've lost that weight just wi**** would pick up a bit... I asked the surgeon about how much they expect me to lose... they don't know and won't guess. I guess thats the thing about clinical trials, you just don't know what your getting yourself in for. LOL...

But I've been exercising good, have gone down for 4 days in a row now, before that it was every other day for 30 minutes. Maybe I will measure myself and see if I'm losing any inches.

Meet the Surgeon Aug 1, 2011 .... hopefully the surgeons office is right and everything will go fast and I'll have surgery later this month.

I would suggest following your doctor's and/or nutrionist's advice.  My doctor's rule is that after 6 weeks out, absolutely NO calories come from liquids, only food.  So... juice is out.  Totally.  I imagine I could have it once in a while, but he says .. and I quote.. lol .. "All of your calories must come from food."  Otherwise you are basically adding empty calories because the pouch is now so small things are not "properly" (for lack of a better word) digested.  :-)

Good luck on your quest!
