Topic: RE: I finally feel normal
The fish I ate was Tilapia and it was tender and delicious. I ate it slowly. I think it was just because I had already gotten myself messed up with the lump crapmeat. It was worse the next day when I reheated it. Such a shame. Today I have had 10 oz water, 20oz water with protein powder and some frozen strawberries blended in with it. Not bad but I was enjoying actually eating. It is odd really having to decide what to eat. I have never given food this much thought even when it seemed like all I was doing was thinking of eating. Strange.

Sandra- Sorry you've had a number of yucky episodes with food getting stuck lately. It just stinks, doesn't it! The one thing I hate about RNY so far is not knowing what's gonna work and what's not. Aside from the owie factor, I don't feel safe trying things at work or in a restraunt that I'm not 100% sure will be ok. It is nice getting back to regular foods though, isn't it? I just tried tilapia for the first time EVER last night and it was good, and it didn't get stuck. Have also had good luck with rotisserie chicken, eaten cold two nights in a row. I was too afraid to re-heat it for fear of upping the chances of it sticking.

Thanks for the advise. I will take it. I got up this morning and knew I would have nothing other than liquids today. I can feel pain sometimes even when I just swallow my saliva. Drinking liquids is okay with just the tiniest of sips. A bigger sip can be felt and it is uncomfortable. I will take it easy tomorrow and then Tuesday maybe I will try my luck.

When I had my first stuck problem it was so bad that I called the doctor and was thinking I might have to go to the ER. Luckily I was wrong and he told me it would just pass. I threw up a few times. Now I know you didn't do that, but what the doctor did tell me that may apply is that after you have a stuck episode or vomiting, the pouch/stomach lining can get swollen and you will need time for it to return to normal. For the next day all I wanted was soup and liquids. The day after that I felt fine. So when you have a problem, think about going soft for a day to let you stomach heal.
Of course I'm new to all of this too, but I hope my advice is on target.
Sorry you didn't feel well, but I'm glad you're OK now.

Topic: What about juice?
Has anyone tried orange juice yet? I'm really wanting some, but heard the acid might hurt the pouch. I'm drinking tomato juice and V8 without a problem.
Topic: RE: Anyone craved food that they previously hated?
Not yet, but I've definitely hated foods I used to crave!
