Dennis that's great. It won't be long and you will be in the mid 300s. Keep up the great work. Feels good doesn't it?

Topic: I finally feel normal
Well, I am officially normal. I kept wondering why I was having such an easy time of it when it SEEMED like everyone else had struggles. On Thursday night I had some lump immitaion crab meat. I didn't puree it or anything. It got stuck just a bit. Only enough for me to be slightly uncomfortable but it soon passed. On Friday, I ate some more for lunch. It got stuck more. You would think I had learned a lesson. Friday night DH and I went out for the first time to eat with out me bringing my own food. I got grilled fish with fresh veggies cooked soft. I ate small amount of fish with an even smaller amount of veggies. I was having some discomfort as I ate. I was "sore". I stopped and it seemed okay. I was only mildly uncomfortable. Yesterday for lunch I had some left overs. I was in such pain. I mushed it up really good and thought I would be okay. That was not the case. I guess for the next few days I should stay on liquids. I still am sore when I drink but it is not too bad. I don't throw up though. But I think I did bruise myself. ugh

Topic: RE: the scale doesn't move
Well, I see I am not alone. It does bug me out that I could lose weight faster before the surgery than I am now. That just doesn't make sense to me. I put the scale away. I took away my ticker tape weight loss thing in my signature. I am going to just do what I have to do and feel the difference. It isn't like I can give up now or anything. I was a happy person before the surgery and I can be a happy person after. I don't have to live for the scale. But it is hard not to consentrate on that when your whole eating life has been disrupted and changed. Good luck to you and me.

Topic: RE: Fruit?
Yes, my NUT warned me to not eat the skin of oranges especially, and to peel things like peaches and apples while I am starting out on more normal foods (not for another week). I am on soft foods now. I canned some pears and applesauce from my fruit trees last year so those home canned fruits are coming in very handy!
