I totally feel your pain...I had lap rny on 12-8-08, and had lost 27 pounds as of a week ago. Now, I've gained 3 pounds back!! Good grief! This CAN"T be right...:( I have no idea what's going on. But it's bumming me out. I get 50 to 70 grams of protein a day, and at least 64 oz of water. I haven't been exercising much, my energy just poops out on me in the middle of the afternoons.
I keep telling myself just to keep what I've been doing, and things will settle down and keep working soon. But I am starting to freak out!
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you are definitely not alone!
Best,
Fay
What are you doing for exercise and how often? Are you finding it easy to workout and getting back into a routine?
I am so glad I posted my story. I never knew about the cola fix. I will be sure to try that again if and when I get stuck again. I slightly instigated my vomiting by simply bending over the toilet and waiting a few seconds. I think the pressure from bending helped me get it out. But for some of them, I was still running to the bathroom.
Thanks again for the great advice!

I hope you continue to feel better as the day goes on!!!
And I know not everyone is going to agree but I've got enough RNY'ers in my life to share this with you...always keep a little Coca Cola on hand...a sip of that during a "stuck" moment can save you much misery.
Feel better!
Let your body continue to recover and do it's thing. You keep up your end of the deal and everything will be fine. Soon enough you'll be shouting from the rooftops that you've lost 100 pounds!
Just hang in there!!!
Please please please be aware!!!
However, you can puree just about any meat when you stop and think about it. Add some sauce or broth to your blender and the cooked meat and give it a whirl. You are better off to get protein from a cut of meat, but the supplements are there to help if you can't.
While on the puree'd stage, I would also blend up beef soups and such. Try adding a scoop of unflavored powder to that. I've also heard you can do "double milk" (reg. milk and add milk powder) but I personally didn't require that so maybe another can give you advice on that.
Good luck - remember that protein is vital to your health now! Keep in mind your heart is a muscle and your muscles need protein. This isn't an option - you have to schedule the eating and get it in.
