QueenDe - we were done the same day.. similar numbers!  Yeee Haw!  I am staying off the scale.. It doesn't make me feel good, so why bother.  I KNOW I am not gaining (clothing getting looser).

I am thrilled to be entering my Doc's "Stage IV" foods - mostly solid, but well-chewed.

Keep up the good work!  Our lives are changed forever!

Topic: Not keeping up

Ok...I don't usually rant or feel sorry for myself...but this week I have been sooooo depressed...the hormones are wacky and the scale has just stopped moving...I had surgery 12/2 and have only lost 29 lbs...I know everyone says not to compare yourself to anyone else, but it is absolutely frustrating to get on here and see people who had surgery a couple weeks after me who have lost 40+ lbs...It is very discouraging when you are going to the gym, sticking with the plan (even though it is not what you want), and keep getting on the scale to see the same thing...

And if one more person asks me how much I've lost only to hear the same number they were told a week ago, I'm going to scream...what am I doing wrong?  I can't eat/drink anymore than I am at this point...I only get about 32 ounces of water and 1 8 oz protein shake a day, and I am still waterlogged...I used to drink very little prior to surgery...and my calorie intake is between 600 and 1000 calories a day depending on how many hours my day is...I work awful hours...one day may be 26 hours of work, then the next will be a shorter "sleep" day...

Anyway, I guess I just need to hear a little reassurance (which is hard to get anywhere but here).....Please remind me that I am not the only one struggling...and any tips to help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks, for all the input. I really like the fuzzy navel  flavor from nectar and have ordered some. I am not hungry all all and have to struggle to eat anything. I am on pureed foods for another 2 weeks and then on to soft. Is anyone else at a lose for what to eat and even about eating at all with no hunger cues?

Thanks for the Nectar email.  I just requested samples.  Hope they send them.  I too struggle with protein and know I am lucky if I hit 40 g a day.

My favorite is Champion Pure Whey Stack chocolate; I mix it with water and it tastes pretty good.  BUT - I did start to get sick of all of the creamy shakes, so I ordered some Nectar Roadside Lemonade.  They have other good flavors too.

You might want to order samples (1.99 each) from Vitalady so you can test first and see if you like it before you commit to a big 2# or 5# tub!  www.vitalady.com

I'm not affiliated with Vitalady - but the sampling before you buy thing is a great idea.

I have discovered Unjury protein. It is great. I have read tons of reviews on this product and still have not come across a bad review. I love it. They even sell sample packs. Go to www.unjury.com to check it out.

How about a fruity protien,  I have not tried it yet, but have orederd free samples from [email protected]. say you are requesting samples and give your address.  They will mail for free.

The brand is Nectar and I have read that the fuzzy navel or twisted cherry are very good.  You can buy the Nectar brand at the Vitamin shop, but i have requested samples before commiting.  I am done with buying and returning things.   The Protien has been difficult for me to meet and I am on the soft food phase.  In order to maintain loosing water and protein are essential.  Hope this helps
