Topic: RE: Little Rock plastic surgeon
I had a breast lift before WLS a couple years ago with Dr Suzanne Yee of Little Rock. She is awesome a true artist and worth every single penny she charges. If you want perfection that is where you should go. I am a nurse and in my opinion there are no better hands that you could be in than hers! After my goal is reached you can bet I will be back there for a tummy tuck. I did not find her to be out of line on her prices in 2007. Hope this helps!

Go through this?
You're so funny, Sybul!
Seriously, I'm three years out and still don't see myself the size people say I am. It's better, but when people say I'm "tiny" I wonder. It's like when a client says to cut their hair short. Their defination of short and mine might be a whole lot different. It's a matter of perception.
Some say it can take a couple of years for your brain and body to catch up. Mine must be on a different schedule.
If the extra skin bothers you, try getting a body shaping camisole. I wear one every day....even on my days off. I buy them at Kohl's and they're about $25 and last forever. It has just enough spandex to smooth out the rolls. Makes your clothes fit so much better.

Thanks y'all. My mom had an appointment this morning where she had to take an iodine pill. Tomorrow she goes back for them to take a look at it because the iodine will have lit up everything by then (or whatever it does to make it visible).
My mom said today that she read that 50% of people have a mass in their throats at some point in their lives, so that's encouraging.
I'll let y'all know.

Topic: Question about body image
Does anyone else go through this? The more I lose, I still feel really fat. It sounds crazy but even though I am wearing extra smalls in my scrubs now, all I see is the rolls of extra skin that make me look fat. I don't see the overall picture. Is this nutty or what? How long does it take our minds to catch up with our body image changing?
