Happy belated surgiversary!  You are such an inspiration to us all. :)

I am so glad you had a wonderful time in Dallas.  I did something similar a couple years ago with some ladies I know from a message board, and it was SO much fun.  Yay!

I heard somewhere that people who lost their jobs were supposed to be able to get COBRA at a break, have you checked into that?  It's supposed to be something like you only pay 35% of the premium as part of the stimulus package... I know that's probably still a lot of money for you, but it's certainly better than nothing!  Google "cobra benefits stimulus package" to see what I'm talking about.  I think even if your benefits have lapsed you can get back on.

I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy.  But you are awesome for dropping the cokes!  I can't wait for the darn rain to be over.

Long time no talk!  Life has been super busy -- I've been adjusting to my new norm of being two people on the job (not a bad thing, will hopefully turn into a little more $$ soon), but this week I'm three people at work.  Soccer, cub scouts, gymnastics, and the little kids' school's major fundraiser are all upon me... ack, I'm drowning!  Plus I'm trying to keep up with my runs.  I was trying for 10 miles this last weekend, but a stomach bug and the weather conspired against me.  There's about 5 weeks left until the big race, so I've still got some time.

Anyway, I was really disappointed I missed the latest 'Bux GTG.  I saw the post a couple days later when I popped in for a second.  I'll definitely catch y'all at the walk, though.  My dear, sweet, little boy who all of a sudden decided to be a cub scout came home last week and announced there's a mother-son campout the weekend of the 26th and guess what, Mommy?  I *really* want to go with you!  Ummmm, uhhhh, I'm sure I've got something going on that weekend (what is it????) OH YEAH, it's the Walk From Obesity (whew).  Maybe next year, ha ha ha.  But in the meantime, when's the DADDY-son campout? *wink wink*

I just took a loot at your etsy site... I LOVE IT!!!!  Your labels are precious, the names are cute, and your prices are very reasonable.  I think you've got a hit on your hands, girl!

Off to catch up on everything else I missed...

Topic: Still here, working alot!!

Hey gang,
Just wanted to check in and say that I am still here, but have been working alot.  I stayed home yesterday and cleaned house all day, had a meeting at 5 in Camden, then came back home and cleaned some more.  Worked in the High School today, and again on Thursday and Friday!!  Almost a full time job, but I love the variety.  Today I was a 6'5" basketball coach.  Its so funny b/c hes a wonderful man, and is black, and all the kids would say "Are you Coach Jones today?" and I would laugh and say, "yeah, well, sorta!!!"  Was a great day.  The end of the week Im speech, drama and journalism teacher!!  Love this so much.  So glad I decided to do this.

Tammy, hope you get well soon, being sick is the pits, besides, I cant come to the walk, so someone needs to be a cheer leader!!

Susan, I do my own hair and nails.  Me and Mrs. Clairol have been friends for years, b/c as long as mine is, it would be a mint to keep it colored. My nails come from Wal-Mart and I paint them RED!! I would stay broke on refills the way mine grow.  Hope money gets better for you soon, I love for someone to do mine, cuz I like to be pampered, but I gotta feed the children!!!

Hope all has a great rest of the week.  Hang in there everyone, like all things in the past, if you are struggling, this too shall pass.

Hugs,
Rhonda D.

Linda,

It doesn't matter which team you joined just as long as you are able to join. I am just trying to get everyone to join. There is not enough done about obesity. We all support the cancer walks and diabetes and then there are other walks for other things.....more attention needs to be brought to the surface in regards to obesity.....

I asked for a donation last year at a business that donates to me for the diabetes walk I usually do....that person suggested "fat" people exercise more....they were clueless I have had surgery. I was horrified and will never ask for donations again unless it is someone who personally knows my struggle.

Anyhow, glad you joined and look forward to seeing you there.....how will we know each other.....I dont know......just look for me.....I am the midget of the bunch....lol.

hugs
Tammy
