Hmm. I'm not sure what that means when it comes to MediCal.

They take it at Stanford but I don't think they do the DS there.

That's who I called . The guy said they weren't contracted with my particular insurance.

I thought Rabkin in SF took Medi-Cal. I could be wrong about that but it's worth checking with his office, if you haven't already.

Ok so I have anthem/medi-cal. According to the people at anthem, they will cover any surgery as long as it is medically necessary. Thats good considering I want to get a DS. Well, as it turns out, there is only 1 doctor in sacramento that accepts my insurance. But as of november, that hospital isn't covered by my insurance nor do they perform a DS. I called some places in San Francisco with no luck. No one likes medi-cal or they are not in my 'network.'

I don't know what else to do or where else to try. I really need this done for my health. Anyone know any doctors that would accept me ? Or is there something else I can do?

Any advice is appreciated.

Sorry It has taken so long to get back to you. I know there is 1 this Saturday in San Leandro. Let me get the info and I'll let you know. I'm going to try and make that support group but I'm not sure. There is also some at the Fremont Kaiser. I just went to 1 last Friday at 6. The next group will be Jan. 13th at 6.
