Frankly, I would recommend restarting your exercise and logging your food. Those are valuable and necessary skills for success long-term. If it is a hormonal issue, the surgeon will probably work with you, but the pre-op time is a wonderful time to practice the lifestyle changes that you will need for the rest of your life. If you can't do it now, what is going to help you post-op? Yes, the weight will come off, but the real challenge is keeping it off. The surgery is only a tool and the lifestyle changes are crucial for success.

Who: Pre-op, post-op no-op, anyone who wants friendship and
camaraderie while on their weight loss journey and/or
maintaining their weight loss. This isn't a formal
support group meeting but a get together among friends who support
one another in their quest for better health. Of course it goes without
saying, our So Cal friends are always welcome too.
When: Sat. December 10th - 3:30 p.m.
Where: Barb and Ron's house in Concord

Please bring a dish to share and your beverage of choice.
Don't forget the White Elephant too. Time to do some "re-gifting" of an item that you don't need. Be sure they are wrapped with no tag and in good condition and not broken. Let the fun begin.

This is what I do know: You have to file an appeal with Kaiser first and then there is a process to follow. The process should be documented on Kaiser's web site and also on the DMHC's web site, but having people who are experienced to help you can make a big difference.
