I am so glad to hear you are feeling better and congratulations on losing those 23 pounds!
As for "bad" nurses, I am a nurse and what you need to do is write a letter to the nurse manager on the unit you were on and explain what happened . Either they were really uncaring , or not educated properly as to what was proper protocal and need to get educated. As a patient you have rights.

ps. if you ever are in the hospital again and have an issue with a nurse ask to speak with the nurse in charge or the nurse manager.

So for all you post-ops - if you've run across a nurse or CNA that was really doing a poor job or a really good job - please either PM me with names - or post them here - I will get the list to Dr. R at my follow up appointment - he said he would make sure it was anonymouse so I figured I mine as well gather as much info as I can for other patients.
On another note - I'm down 23 pounds!! And starting to feel much, much, much better!!!
Monthly support group meetings for preoperative and postoperative Bariatric weight loss surgery patients are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Gengras Auditorium 1st floor at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
