We did manage to get a group of shoreline people togetther a few times and even created a group on facebook (Ct shoreline bariatric support group) that we used to get meetings organized, but there hasn't been any activity lately.

I still go to support group at St Francis, but it really seems to be more focused on newcomers. Would love to get the shoreline people back together.

I haven't been on here in awhile. I've had a lot happen in my life since last October 31st when I had surgery. As some of you know I lost my wife in a car accident on Thanksgiving last year. And since then I have been able to see my Daughter or (Step-Daughter) Tori. But her Father has been trying to get custody of her and my Wife was trying to get his rights taken away from him. which I won't go into because I want you to watch a video that her 1st Husband put together. and that will explain a lot. And all I ask is for you to circulate this Video and if you can write a letter to the Judge telling him your opinion.  I want to add the reason He did not serve the 20 to 50yrs was because Mooresville lost the evidence. How do you lose a couch????? Among other thing's.

Also She cryed to me Because her Father told her that she spends to much time with me and her staying the night with me was bad. And when he get's custody of her. she won't see me anymore. How the hell do you tell a 5yr old who's lost so much in her life that your going to take away something else from her? I'm the ONLY DAD SHE KNOW'S! She doesn't know him And she has told me she's scared that he will kill her. which is because she knows what he did to her Twin Brother. She's my Baby and I am just wanting everyone to know what's going on so maybe we can all make a difference in her life!

You're kind to ask. I ended up switching to Dr Duffy in New Haven because I'm hoping to have the sleeve. Thanks to Dr Aranow being so thorough, I found out I had some pretty serious esophageal issues that wouldn't have made the band a good option for me. Dr A doesn't do the sleeve so that's why I ended up switching. I'm hoping to hear soon on insurance. Maybe I won't be too far behind you on a date!

Yes, I did a week ago Friday for blood work and EKG.  I have a pre-op appointment on Tuesday and surgery on Wednesday. We are in Gales Ferry, so about 45mins if no traffic. They are working on the Baldwin bridge, should be done on Monday, but we will check in case we need to leave earlier. 95 is a nightmare! Even when we travel in our motorhome, we try to avoid it!
I will let everyone know how it goes!

I had to postpone my appt until Oct 6th because I forgot to get my blood done!  So, I pushed it back...I hate having to drive so far to Middletown to get blood drawn...Does everyone drive all the way there for blood draw and back again for appt??? It's tough sometimes.

I'll let you know how it goes when I do get there!
