It just plain stinks that the band doesn't work for everyone - some people are so successful with it - it is such an inexact science - I hope you don't have to go down the revision road but if you do - you'll most likely have to start from scratch just like I did - all the tests and doctors visits - everything all over again!! Just out of curiousity you should call Dr. A and find out if he does do revisions - he has such an awesome reputation. Don't worry about courage - no one cares about you more then you and you have to do what is right for yourself and not worry about judgement of others!

Good luck to you with the revision. I have been following your journey to get to the revision, as I believe this is where I am heading. My band worked for me at the beginning but eventually stopped due to many reasons, some of my own fault and others not. I have now gained back alot of my weight and am very unhappy with myself. I just need to pick up the courage to call Dr A's offce, although I will probably have to use a different Dr. anyway, because I do not believe he does revisions. Looking forward to hearing about your continued journey.You will do great.

I'll just miss you by a couple of days! I'm staring the optifast on 9/23 - let me tell you those opitfasts are really, really heavy - I'm so thankful my husband was there to carry it for me - when I have to go back and get the next week I'm going to bring a carry on travel luggage thing with wheels - there is NO WAY I could carry that all the way from Dr. R's office to the parking garage!!
