Hi Mary,

I also went through Dr. Bells office,, but I had Dr. Duffy,, he was excellent.
I had the RNY with no complications,, it's been great,, I lost over 100 lbs,
and I'm no longer shooting three needles of insulin into my stomach
every day for diabetes.. so I'm very happy.  Good luck with everything,, and
if you ever want to talk,, drop a sista a line,, I'll answer.

Hello Family,

I know it has been a long time since I posted.  I believe June was my last post but I wanted to check in with everyone to let you know I am doing and feeling sooooooooo good!  I am now 4 months post op and have dropped a total of 73 pounds and I have gone from a size 22W dress to a size 12! 

I cannot believe that I am in a size 12 dress!   I have not been this small since I was a teenager and i gotta say it feels great!  My friends and family are floored when they see me now.  They tell me just how great I look.  And I have so much more energy to do even the smallest things in life.
 
I saw my doctor on last week and he says I am shrinking away and doing good with good skin retention at age 42. My arms are firmed, my belly is tight with no sag so far.   He told me I am one that really did well with this surgery.  He wants to make me his poster child for Bariatric Surgery...

I truly thank God for this surgery, at the road I was on this was my only hope.  Now I am fitting into all of my daughter's clothes and she can't believe it.  Everybody thinks me and my daughters are sisters, isn't that hilarious???

On another note, my husband absolutely LOVESSSSSSSSSSSS my new body.  Yes, he did enjoy me as a thick sister too but he says being a smaller one is just as fun too.  And just let me say our sex life is through the ROOFFFFFFFF!  Now I know how Jane felt when Tarzan grabs her off her feet and swings her behind his back to take her away to...well, ah, girllllll, my man can't keep his hands off me ladies, if you know what I mean!!!!.

My self-confidence has really boomed, so much that I am marketing myself for a new job in New York City.  I feel that I can accomplish anything if I put my mind and heart to it and this surgery has showed me that in more ways than one.  Please, if you are one thats considering this surgery or in the postop stage and getting the blues, I am here to give you as much motivation and support as possible.  YOU CAN DO IT AND YOUR GOING TO FEEL GREAT!  I am always easily accessible, shoot me an email if you need some encouragement.  Till next time...YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!
