An observation from the long term veterans:

Record everything you eat
Plan exercise into your day
Know your calorie surplus/ deficit

The succesful people seem to do this daily even if their diet and exercise methods vary widely.  I started this at less than a month out.  I look at my spreadsheet and see if I've done well or poorly and fix the situation.

Right now there is a red x for my body sculpting routine instead of the number of calories burned.  I won't sleep tonight knowing that's there for no good reason.  I will finish this workout today.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations JA!  I had my 5 year anniversary on May 24th.  I originally lost 126 pounds and have put back on 20 over the last 2 years.  I am back on track, seeing my bariatric nutritionist and going to the support group meetings.  I love my life today - I go kayaking, hiking, horse back riding , water parks. ride bikes - all the things I missed out on all those years.

It is the best thing that I have ever done!

I'm glad to see you are a success and enjoying the benefits of your surgery as well.

LMAO That's him but don't forget he really does care about us.

The new APRN is great! She is super nice. Plus side is she doesn't know us from before and can't really judge us.

I had surgery last yr in May and I did really good for a while did exercise ate good and for the past 2 months I went on vacation for 2 weeks and came back and haven't went back to the gym and I dont even remember how much to eat anymore. I feel like I fell of the horse and I dont know how to get back on. Any advice how much should I be eating at 15 months out ? and what do I do for exercise. Hey Tammy...

Things have been so topsy turvey... Good news.. GOT A JOB!  Started just about 2 weeks ago.. hours.. pay... location.. PERFECT.. No longer in management.. just managing myself.. it's WONDERFUL.. lots to learn..

Moving out of my house this Wednesday into an Apt. with my son.  It's so pretty.. a little more than I want to spend.. but it's beautiful.. safe.. clean..& local... can't beat that.. plus get to keep my kitty.

Filed for divorce.. we're doing a "mediated" one with just 1 attorney since we don't have "much" to split.. just the house really. .. which is on the market.  Husband & I are friendly which is good.. at times he goes through his "anger/hurtful" phase of emotions... & whooo boy duck & cover on my end... very bad.

My health is ok.. my blind end.. is starting to act up.. been hurting ALOT lately.. I should go see Dr. R.. but need to wait until things settle down.. I saw him in early July & he was FREAKING out about my blood pressure.. too high (stress related.)  So will see him in January unless my blind end starts to become unbearable.. I really don't want another surgery.

I'm excited & scared about new beginnings.. I'm definately done with marriage.. my 2nd go around & can't seem to get it right..so..will stay single...  the WLS I do believe was a factor on my husband's side.. for me.. just a smaller package with a confidence boost thrown in.

Plan on taking a good year to re-invent myself/find myself.. between the 2 marriages I've been "married" over 20 years to 2 different people.. just about continuously.. need to breathe a bit for myself.

Hugs,
Mic

Waiting is the hardest part. If all your paper work is in it should take a few weeks or so. If you haven't heard anything then, give them a call to see how things are going and if they are missing any info they need.

Best of luck.
