I'm not really sure how to do this-- and haven't felt this alone in a LONG time. I need a friend- I'm scared, I'm restless, I'm sick of the protein shakes.

HI Marveta! You are definately not alone hunny... scared, restless is all normal from what I gather.. I havent made it as far as you have yet but im working on it. I get scared too just thinking about what Im doing but the long term result in the end makes it seem worth it to me. Try finding new recipes for protein shakes, Ive heard there are some pretty good ones out there! If I can find the link to the page I have Ill post it soon. Good luck!! Dixie

HI marveta! I know how you are feeling - my surgery is about 3 weeks away and I am on a huge emotional rollercoaster right now! Just know you are NOT alone. Does your hospital have a support group? or is there someone else in the area that has had surgery - or even just a friend/neighbor that can stop by for you? If not, just know we are here and will be praying for a quick recovery!

At the time of surgery I was sooooo ready that I was excited, anxious and jumping for joy. It is always good results for a good positive attitude going in will return one coming out. Basically prior to this I needed a friend and felt very alone but when I knew I was finally approved, it made all the difference in the world to me. My future is in my hands again and my hands alone. No one can change that but me. I had all the confidence in the world in my surgeon so that wasn't even a concern to me. I guess you have to figure what your afraid of then go for the answer. Check out profiles and see what some of us had to go through to get here. If there's something any one of us can help you with we certainly will or if you'd like to e-mail me direct, please do so, just to put your mind at ease. Relax and enjoy your journey. Take Care of you, Debbie

Hi, I can't tell you to not be afraid because that is human nature, but I will pray for you to come through this safely and if you need a friend let me know...I am just a hop, skip and jump away from you in Minnesota! When you are feeling lonely, just remember that you have a whole community of people here that has gone or is going through the same fears, emotions, and uncertainty that you are. Best Wishes, Stephanie
