experienced drs for scope on gastric bypass patients

Do you know of any drs in IL who are experienced in scoping bypass patients? My friend came down with colon cancer a yr after surgery and she is worried that a dr who is not experienced with bypass patients might do something to her rearranged plumbing. She had her surgery by Dr Cahill. I will try to call them again. please email my personal email, [email protected] with answers

DO NOT NOT NOT go where I went (although this gastroenterologist claims to know and is familiar with the anatomy of the gastric bypass patient) ... I was treated horribly by this person, his office would not get back to me, and was actually diagnosed elsewhere, by a general practitioner. I've sent you an email.

Please call Dr. Frantzides at Northwestern. He is not only a wls surgeon but is also a surgeon experienced with colon cancer surgery, I believe.

I had my scope by the same surgical office that did my bypass - Peoria Surgical Group - Dr Rossi did the EGD and DeBord did my bypass. I also had a colonoscopy through PSG. Didn't have any problems with either one. I did have to go in the hospital with my EGD because he couldn't "balloon" my opening (it was almost totally closed). They had to go in with the angiography lab dr and I had to be awake for that scoping... not a pleasant experience but I survived it.
