Has anyone tried the diet pills, Phentermine?
Dear Maria:
I have my 8th appointment tomorrow of my 12 months for BCBS.
My doctor put me on Phentermine 3 months ago, and they do work, at first. The first day, I was so HIGH I could not even THINK about food. They just kind of make the idea of food unappealing. It was very important that first month to make sure I took my vitamins, because I could hardly eat a thing.
Of course, as your body gets used to them, the feeling goes away. They make my heart race a bit, and my mouth dry (easier to drink more water that way), and increased my blood pressure. I have lost maybe 20 pounds in the 3 months, but they are beginning to wear off. They are still helping control my appetitie a little bit, and I am now used to eating less, but I can probably only take them for another month before they don't work at all. They are really only to be used for 3-6 months, according to the prescription information.
It is a good idea to use this opportunity to get used to eating healthier and eat smaller portions, as you will be doing after surgery.
Good luck to you,
Dawn

Hi Dawn! Thank you for response. Today is my first day taking the pills and I feel more energized which is good I also feel my mouth really dry. I have the water right beside me. I will try these pills and see how much weight I can loose and try to eat healthy. Good luck with your 8th month of the 12month diet program. This is barely my 1st month. Take Care. Maria M.
