Ignorance on the show "The View".

Did any of you see "The View" today? They had a guest host named Monique and she was a plus size lady.... She declared that WLS was the most violent surgery one could have and should be banned and not allowed. I could not believe my ears. She continued to show how ignorant she was by saying she had seen WLS on TLC and they stick the rod in us and then it starts sucking.... HELLO, Miss know it all doesn't even know the difference between WLS and LIPO but yet she can declare all WLS should be banned. I emailed the show and reminded them this surgery saves lives and if they are going to discuss this procedure please have experts on. good for you Kath ... if I had seen it I'd be fuming and would have written to the show too ... what f***ing ignorance. I never watch that show, its credibility has been gone for a long time if you ask me, and I would think Barbara Walters would be ashamed of some of this incorrect and tabloidal nonsense. I think she is just trying to justify her choice to stay fat. She even hosts a beauty pagent where they look for Miss Fat or something like that. But I do think it was irresponsible for the view not to have someone with a counter-perspective to "debate" the issue and to bring some reality into the discussion.

I caught the tail end of the discussion and was appalled too. I believe when she went into the procedure Babra did try and mention that it was Lipo she had seen done, but then just gave up cause it was useless. Too bad, they had such a great opportunity to educate so many people. Giovanna 250/125

I refuse to watch that show. They remind me of a bunch of gossipy old bats in my neighborhood.
