Any Bloomington Normal WLS people here?

I want to have lap-ban and Im on Medicrare-Medicade so I know its an up hill battle. I cant pick a Doctor...I see good and bad things about the Peoria and Clinton Doctors. Just want to know if anyone "loved" one or the other. Im also worried about no Blm-Normal support group.

There's a support group on the first Tuesday of each month at Bromenn. It's located in the conference area, behind the ER entrance. I think if you call their information desk or number, they could direct you there. We are meeting next Tuesday, August 1 at 7 p.m. During this session, I believe we are having 2 speakers, 2 local plastic surgeons, Drs. Randolph and Tattini. Hope you can make it! There is usually time for questions too!

I had my surgery done in Peoria on February 16, 2006. I LOVE my doctor, all the doctors in the office over there are fabulous!! Go to the informational meeting and see what you think, that's really your first step anyway.

I had the lap-band done in September. I went to Dr. Tull who was in Jacksonville but is now at the Clinton clinic. He has had the lap-band done himself so he understands where his patients are coming from. I would really look into him. Good luck! Kate

I too had my rny in Peoria and love everyone there. They are so great. They also have a support group in Bloomington but I am not exactly sure where.

My husband has not had his surgery yet. But we have been working with Dr. Roscheib out of Clinton. They have been wonderful to us. The Clinton doctors also perform surgery at Carle in Champaign if that makes you feel any better. Good Luck
