Hi, New here
Hi everyone, This is my first post. I have been a member since August, but have finally just started to update. I have had my consult with the surgeon thus far and am waiting for them to submit to insurance. The waiting game begins.
I am still a little nervous, but think this is the right choice for me.
I have been reading some of the posts and everyone seems so nice and supportive.

Hi Debbie, I really appreciate the welcome. I was just looking at your blog and saw that you had BCBS
That is who i have. The only good news there is they just lowered the monthly weigh-ins to 6 mos. YAY!!! I still am concerned that I will not get approval as I don't have many co-morbs, and the ones i do have are not too serious(luckily) but that wont help me get surgery either. Thanks again for the nice post.

That six month weigh in's are far better than a year wait for sure. Good luck. That time will fly by and you'll be there before you know it. Just remember to do exactly what the insurance asks for and you'll be ok. And just ask any questions, we're all here to help. Good luck. Take care of you
Debbie

Welcome to the site. I was very fearful during my "thinking" process. Then I woke up and figured out that fear, has, would in the future control me. Fear kept me FAT for 20years. I had my surgery 3 years ago March and have never looked back. I was 270lbs at the time of surgery and now maintain my weight @ 135lbs. I knew from the moment I met Dr. Frantzides that I was in the best hands I could be in. His office staff is very efficient with the insurance process. Good Luck.
