Charlotte, Don't push yourself. Watch T.V or read. I am doing o.k. on liquid some days are hard. I am getting nerous and second guessing myself. I really feel bad about the money part of this for me. My husband (I guess me 2) work hard and a lot. This is really going to be a monthy payment. I know this is for the best. So I am ready. I have 2 more days of work. REST! Theresa I know I have to take it easy. I am feeling better each day. I know I was nervous also. And yes I second guessed what did I do. If it was not my insurance I could have not this done either. So I am blessed to have insurance. It will work out. good luck keep in touch

Theresa Feeling Beter! and just taking each day at a time. I took off 8 days off I will go back to work on Feb 7th, So when are you having the surgery? How much weight have you lost so far on the liquid. diet. Keep in touch. Are you nervous or excited? or both. Well talk to later Theresa.

Today was my last night of work. I got all my paperwork in. I switched my day off this week to be off Wed. to get ready and get the call what time surgery is. My surgery is Thurs. morning. ( I just don't know what time yet) Did they call you the day before to tell you a time? I think my scale is around 11-12 pounds. But going by their scale with my regular clothes on will be around 16-17. How much have you lost? Did you have a lot of gas after surgery? Was it in your shoulders? If so what did you do for it? I am some times excited and then I turn nerous. I keep thinking of other questions. I know this is what I have to do and it is the best for me. When do you see the doctor next? Theresa Yes they did call me the day before the surgery after 3:00 they called me and told me what time to be at the hospital. And what time the surgery would be. My daughter went with me and my sister work right across street from the hospital so she meet her there . Because I didn't go to my room until 5:30. Dr Meyer came and talk to me before the surgery. He is so nice. Asked me questions like how the liquid diet went. He asked how much weight I lost. The just general questions after that. Then they took me to a waiting room I walked there. they put the bands take your belongings and get you ready. His assistants come and talk to you While I was waiting to get put to sleep. once they started that IV and they gave me a shot to relax that was it. The next thning I knew I was in the recovery room. When Dr Meyer told me I had to spent the night I was shock. The reason for that was after the surgery you need to take an upper GI test. To make sure the band is at the right spot and no leaks are in the band. Him being such a great Dr. It was put in perfect. Had to drink the brarium not much but still had to drink that stuff. They nevered weight'd me when I got to the hospital the day of the surgery, They did put me in a private room also, Pretty view of downtown. And Saturday I left the hospital at 3:00 waiting for all the paperwork and instructions and Rx needed when I go home. Dr Meyer and his assitant did come to see me on Sat also. His assistants came Friday and Sat without him, They were nice also I have lost a tolal with the liquid diet so far 26 lbs. No gas did I have My shoulders kind of hurt. But my daughter who is a Rn Nurse that is from laying with my arrms open during surgery. There is nothing you can do, Just one day at a time. Don;t worry you will be fine. I kind of question myself even after my surgery. Like want did I do? And was it the right thing to do? Now I know it was right. I see Dr Meyer next week Tuesday in his office at the professional building across from the hospital. Theresa good luck and I will be praying for you. You will be fine.

Charlotte, Thank You so much and I will let you know how it goes. I have to be there at 5:30 a.m. and surgery is 6:30 a.m. My cousin is taking me and she will be at my house around 4:20. Did you say you lost 26 lbs already? That is so good. How much have you lot sense surgery? Keep it up and I will be in touch soon. Theresa

Theresa Good luck tomorrow I will be thinking of you at 6:30 it will be o,k believe me. Yes 26 lbs. Since friday I have lost 10 lbs. Starting today I went on more liquids the was you can't see through. I can drink 1 cup of skim milk have a cup of sugar free hot cocoa. Cream soup. But I don't get hungry just a couple of time so far. but it went away fast. I am still sore. But I need to take it easy which I am starting tomorrow. Keep in touch and take it easy after your surgery. I will say a prayer for you.

Charlotte, How are you doing? How is your pain and swore stomach. I was home Thurs. by 12:30 and took the pres medicine he sent home and just sleeped. Fri. I starting feeling nausea. So I stopped all pres. pain medicine. By Sat. 6:00 I had to have Dr. Meyer paged because I was dry heving so much and was worried about the band. My husband went to the 24 walgreens and dr. called in pres. for nausa. Then gas pain in left shoulder starting hurting. So I was walking and walking and tried a heating pad. Does this sound normal or am I just a big baby?? I hope this is all worth it and a bad dream down the road. Sorry to be such a downer. Talk to you soon Theresa

Theresa I am so sorry to hear your not feeling to well. So they didn't give you any pain meds while you were at the office? You took the pres meds he gave you right? Did you vomit when you felt nausea? Did you sip on any liquids? When I was in the hospital that Sat they gave me liquids, plus I had an IV until the time I left. Plus getting heprin shots so I would not get any blood clots.So are they gas pains in our left shoulder? I don't feel gas. So are doing better? I hope so. Just take it easy it will be o,k.
