Help with Insurance

I need some advice. My dad has blue cross and blue sheild of Illinois but he now lives in San Diego Ca and he has been in the wls program for a yr or more and has done everything that they have asked him to do. They have denied every claim that the Dr. has sent in. Now they have gotten an independent lawyer to over look my dad's protest of their decsion. I need to know if anybody else has gone through this and if so how did you get them to pay for the surgery?? Who do I need to contact?? He only has 15 days before he meets with the lawyer. This seems to be the normal practice for BC/BS. The good news i that if your dad has all of his documation and has a lawyer contact them (BC/BS0 nthe tend to reverse their denial. Please tell your dad to not give up this is just a bump in the road. Good Luck
