Plastic Surgeron BEWARE....

Hello everyone. It's been months since I've written. I need eveyone's help. GBS was a great siccess/ One year out and 115 pounds down. I am at my goal. Had a panniculectomy by a local plactic surgeon in a local hospital who claimed to have done many bariatric post gbs pani's and tummy tucks. Asks for credentials, really didn't get any related to wls, but I chose him, because of his charm, What a MISTAke. As it turns out I end ed up in ICU less than 6 hours later from loss of blood, and he was no where to be found. He said I could have a revision, I thought, but not with him. So I am switching providers and going back to a Chicago hospital hoping to see the group who did my GBS. Has any out there of such a story. After his surgery because of the incision, my well toned leggs turned into jello and I have ripples all over ,my thighs, its as though I am worse. The stomach is puffy, and to makes things even worse I develeoped a hematoma and bleeding and had to have another surgery 10 days later to stop the bleeding. Any thoughs or comments please email. I need some help and advice. I am really desperate to hear if this has happened to anyone else out there. Thank you. [email protected] Barb S

I don't have any comments because i am still waiting for surgery... but I just wanted to wish you well. I hate to hear of someone haveing a bad surgery!

I can't help you out w/ your problems/questions but I did want you to know I'm thinking about you and hope that all works out in the end. What a terrible experience you had to go thru. Hang in there. (((Hugs))) Christina

Morning Barb... I am oh so sorry that you had such a bad experience. I actually researched for about 2yrs and checked credentials and made sure I knew people who had used her. PS is just like our original surgery, research, unfortunately you had been deceived. I am thinking with so many people going thru wls there are a lot more PS taking advantage of us. I used Dr Lisa Peters who operates out of the OAK park area. I live way way south but it was worth it , she did an awesome job with my tummy and arms, I am going back in May for my legs and boob lift. I promise you would not be disappointed with here.
