Im CLOSE to getting a date!

I talked to my surgeons nurse Mary Ann today and she is out of Dr. V's office til Thursday and she said he makes his own dates he wont let her do it for him, so Thursday she will be there to put me up in his face she said lol ... and I should have a date on that day, I also asked about him doing it lap cuz I read on someones profile here that they had lap done by DrV assisting another dr and she said yes he does that and she will check on it for me to see if i can have it done. Keep ya fingers crossed ya'll and please throw some prayers my way!! Im so excited, Im almost there!! WOOHOO!

Mary Ann is great, she will make sure he gets you scheduled. I also have good luck emailing Dr Vitello, he answers that better than trying to reach him at the office. He did my RNY laporoscopically with the guidance of Dr Ayloo. He has not done a lot of lap procedures, and since I was "only" about 95 pounds over (lots of co morbids) he asked me if he could perform lap with Dr Ayloo guiding him. It went great, I had a much easier recovery, and have lost 61 pound with my 3 month anniversary being tomorrow. The first date Dr V gave me was about 3 months from the time we talked, I asked if he could possible do it sooner as I had a dog expecting puppies, and would not be able to have it after the pups came. he got me scheduled for only 3 weeks!!! Didn't have much time to get cold feet, and am soooo very happy I did it. Dr V is great, the nursing left a bit to be desired at UIC, but he made up for it! Good luck, let me know when you get a date, and if he is going to do you lap! Sandy

I knew I seen it here somewhere that he did a lap surgery with another Dr. Well looks like its out for me cuz im MORE than 95 lbs over lol but either way, Im still more excited than I can stand and like you Im hoping i dont get time to be really SCARED! I love Mary Ann to pieces and she did ask me today if there was a date I preferred and all I could tell her was ASAP lol .. where in the heck do I release all this excitement ?? Im already driving my family crazy and have called everyone I know to tell them the good news, half of them I havent talked to in ages and they had no clue what I was doing and now THEY think Im crazy lol
