Barix in Schaumburg and documentation

Does anybody know anything about the Barix clinic in schaumburg? What insurances do they take? Do they do the surgeries there or at the one in Belvidere which i believe closed? Also if I don't have any proof of my diet history or proof of weightloss programs, what do I do any advice? Also I don't have they best psych history does that make me not qualified for surgery? Any way around that? Please guys give me some badly needed advice..

Depending on what insurance company you have, even if you had documents showing past weight loss programs, they may make you still go through a 6 month Dr. supervised diet. I have years of back up and United HealthCare is still requiring the 6 month diet. As for the psych history, and again depending on the insurance, they may require a psych evaluation. I am not sure how much past history plays a part or if it is your current mental status and passing the eval. I wish you the best of luck and hope this gives you a little encouragement.

You might want to check with the Belvidere office to see if Schaumburg is even open anymore. They were connected. I do believe that the Schaumburg office was for patients to go for follow ups only. If you are at a stand still with not having a WL surgeon, may I suggest that you consider Drs Jeff Rosen or Michael Iwanicki with Life Weigh Bariatrics in Downers Grove. 630 261 9393. Barix is Schaumberg is closed. it was just an office for consults etc, and all the surgeries were done @ Belbvidere. the Dr is still at belvidere for a another month or two, but no surgeries are being performed.
