Well, it was yucky last night. We had some tense moments waiting for our international guests, but they finally made it to our house. They all made it to Itasca at about 9pm. We kept hearing freezing rain hit the windows and fireplace cap most of the night. It all stopped somewhere around 330am and then the temp went up to the upper 30's. The weather is supposed to get bad again this evening, yucky. What ya all doing today? We just got back from the grocery store. Our guests have gone to Willow Creek Church for the second Sunday service. One of our guest's suitcase did not make it onto the the plane in London so he is without the bulk of his clothing. Oh, well Woodfield is not too far away, nor is Walmart or Target. Need to get some additional shut eye before they come back to the house. Hope they go to Woodfield so they can experience a big shopping center and just plain enjoy themselves. Chris

I ran around like a nutcae yesterday trying to beat the snow. I am going on a cruise in just a few weeks and needed to get a lot of things for the trip. Got home right before the storm hit. I do think we got more freezing rain than snow though. What was a bit scarey were the lights kept flickering, but thankfully we never did lose power. Today I am just nesting and trying to keep warm. This is something that I have had trouble doing ever since surgery. So I sit here typing in sweats and fuzzy slippers Stay warm everyone. Regards and hugs, Ronna
