Shrink called and rescheduled!

Today my 26 yr old daughter Carissa was suppose to go see the shrink so she can start her wls journey, well he called, had an emergency and asked her to come Wed. instead! This appointment was a big step for her! Then she would get to have an appointment with her wls Dr. They said she had to have her primary Dr and the shrink ok before she even had 1 appointment with New Start. She has never been to this Dr who canceled today. He is someone New Start gave her his name to get her eval done. I know his cost is $200.00. No she don't have insurance but ya got to do what ya got to do! RIGHT! In May it will be 4 yrs since my wls, At that time Carissa thought of wls but decided she was afraid and couldn't do it so here we are almost 4 yrs has past and she has watched good old mom. Ok she has seen me threw the wls, tummy tuck, lots of dumping ect.. ha ha Yes it was well worth all of it. I just pray she gets threw her wls as easily as I did! Did I really say that?? EASY?? No way but I had no major problems! Yes their is a secret!! I followed my wls Dr's rules! I will admit my first day back to work 2 weeks after wls I ran out of gas 2 miles from work! I had 2 seniors waiting at there home for me who does not answer the phone! I have not ran out of gas since! I could not even walk 2 blocks that day let alone 2 miles! I called a friend who was near by. Ok Got to run! See ya lighter! Cyndi

Hi Cindi.. Just wanted to give you ladies a little support. It stinks when appointments get rescheduled but we have to remember, docs are human to. Things come up that are out of our control. Give a big hug to Carissa for me. She is moving in the right direction. Just a little bump in the road but she will get that appointment rescheduled and be able to move forward. I hope she has as much success as you have. It's great she has the support from you. Christina
