How to put a picture on.

Hey everyone, I have a picture to put on here but, dont know how to do it. I tried following the instructions in the profile section, but it asks for a URL.. HUH????????? HELP Christina

Ok, I think that this will help you. I am going to copy and paste from another message that I sent another girl on how to do the pictures on the profile. If by chance you cannot follow it maybe I can help you by resizing the pic and/or talking with you on the phone (my dime, I can call you). Go to the main message board. on the left side is a lgt blu box and in it is a link for "user settings". that brings up a box where you add your photo. you (or someone else) will need to edit the photo so the pixels meet the standards that they have listed for you to upload it. to edit a photo go into the photo that you want to add make sure that you make a copy of that picture and save it on your computer then you edit that picture, not the original. go into your photo manager (on microsoft computers you open the picture, go to the drop down menu for "picture", go down to "resize", then on the right side is a radio button that you click "custom widt X height" here you type in 100X100 and then save your newly sized photo.) I think with my computer it changed the photo to 93X100 pixels. or something like that. Remember what you title the photo and where you save it, usually it is in "my pictures", sometimes in "my documents" click the button that says "browse", look for your photo, click open and it adds it to the browse area, then you need to click "upload". if you have it in a proper size it will put it in the box to the left of "browse". Go down to the bottom of the page and click "save" Hope this all makes sense. Chris hope this makes sense to you.

The method Christine wrote about doesn't work anymore. You have to : 1. Select My OH from the toolbar at the top of your sreen then, 2. Seledt My profile, 3. On the left hand side above where a picture would be is says, "Customize Profile." Click on that. 4.You will then see a tool box on the right with many options. Select "change my avatar" This will lead you to a tool box that will let you upload a picture from your computer. Hope that helps. One more thing. It may take a day or so for your picture to show up on your posts even though you will see it on your profile. Regards and hugs, Ronna

Ronna, actually the method that I instucted her on does work because that is where I just changed my photo with to the current one that you can view with this message. This is my old avatar that I used to have before I put up the pic of my husband and I. I basically gave her simplified instuctions from the tutorial page.
