Plastics on Monday
Good morning everyone!
I'm just around the corner having plastic surgery this coming Monday. Wow, the month went by so fast. I'm in a tailspin
I'm having a brachioplasty (arms), breast lift with augmentation and revision of my LBL to remove the pouch just above the pubic bone. I will be going home the same day and that has me anxious. I'm been told by many that I will be drugged enough to handle oral pain medication once home. I sure hope that is the case.
I've been under so much stress both at work and home. Now this will pass!
I'm just glad it is the weekend and I don't have to work next week.
I'll post when I'm up to it; probably on Tuesday. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery
Happy weekend to everyone!
Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy, you are in the most capable hands that I know of come Monday morning. The one thing that I can recommend to you is to stay on top of your pain meds. What I do is keep a small log in a note book with the times I take and how many of the recommended pills. That way you always know when it is time to take somemore. You can become so "out of it" when on them that you need something in writing to remind you. I also make sure that I take them on schedule so I am not having those times that I have a lot of pain while the new set of pills kick in. I always think that I can "get" away with skipping a dose and I end up paying for it in the long run because it takes so much longer for the meds to kick in. I have a high tolerence for pain but I still need to keep up with taking what I am prescribed for at least a week and then I switch to Extra Strength Tylenol.
Chris
PS what time so I can be praying and thinking about you?
Hi Chris. My surgery is scheduled for 12 noon on Monday. At least now I'm finished with work. It was a heck of a day. Although I kept it quiet that I was going to be away for one week, it seems like people knew that I was going to be gone. The phone kept ringing and people kept stopping by for one thing or another. I couldn't even get some time alone for lunch.
I'll be getting a lot of sleep next week. I really need it.
I plan on taking my pain meds right on schedule. Willow (Val) will be staying with me on Monday night. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend. She'll make sure that I take my meds on schedule. I, too have a high tolerance for pain. However, that is with being on IV pain meds first and for a day or two. This is something else. I'll see how it goes. If I can't take the pain, I'll pay extra and spend the night in the hospital.
Thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely keep them in mind.
I was so tired when I got home from work, I fell asleep in the lazy boy chair. Oh, well I have to catch up with my chores tomorrow.
Take care,
Lucy
