Happy week end all !!
I put that smiley with my title because we need shades in the Chgo area today, finally. Man, all the ugly snow is melting and I actually see the grass starting to wake up from its winter slumber, it is starting to get green already.
Went for physical therapy this morning and I am hurting a little. I hurt my right patellar ligament back just before Thanksgiving. I am just about to go into my fourth week of PT. I have to put the therapy on hold for a couple of weeks starting next Saturday. I have a revision of my PS and I will be recouping from that for a couple of weeks. The knee is slowly getting better but I am frustrated because I cannot even hardly walk because the knee and right hip hurt so much after I am on it for a short while. I developed bursitis in the right hip as a result of incorrect walking with the knee.
What ya all doin' this week end? We go to a small theatrical production local to the area tonight. It is an original play from the books of Genesis 25-35 about the story of Jacob and Rachel. We saw it last week and this week we are taking some friends to see it also. Afterwards we will go to dinner at a small Italian Bistro just down the street from the play.
Well, keep everyone that is in need a prayer this week in mind. Those that are going for surgery like Lucy and myself. Keep others in mind that are going for doc apts or are just starting their journeys.
Take care
and
to you all,
Chris

Hi Chris! I'm very busy this morning and for the rest of the weekend.
WOW, Monday is just about here. I am ready as I am going to be.
I am so blessed to have friends like you here supporting me through this journey! Thank you so much.
I'll be praying for you too! We know that we have the best doc to take care of us.
Enjoy your weekend. I will try. If I get the things done I need to, I will be happy and then rest.
I'll post on Monday morning since my surgery isn't until 12 noon. I'll be leaving for Alexian at 9:45 a.m.
Hugs,
Lucy

I am trying to catch up from a very long week at work. We had a department meeting with all 17 of our group here from all over the country. As the hosts, we had to be in early, stay late, and entertain them in the evening. Needless to say, I have the aftermath of dirty dishes and a stack of laundry to catch up on.
Good luck this week on your surgery. If it turns out as great as Dave's, then you will have to change your names to Barbie and Ken!
You will be in my prayers!

Jeannine, how is Harold feeling this week? Hopefully, he is getting his strength back.
Ken and Barbie -HA I do not think so. I need to still work on getting my thunder thighs slimmer. I have been struggling with some extra poundage since Christmas because I cannot hardly even walk at times with my bum knee. But, the physical therapy is helping a lot.

Karen, great loss, keep up the good work. Sorry about the clothes shopping not going so well. Do you have Kohls near you? I have always found that they have great clothing. What are some of the other stores that you like to frequent? Don't give up hope you will find something.
Chris
ps where is the cruise going to and for how long? We love to cruise and have been on 7 of various lengths with 18 days being the longest.
