Well, the center that was doing WLS was Barix and they have closed their doors. I do know that they were referring people to Life Weigh Bariatrics in Downers Grove. They have an ad in the lower left corner. LWB has taken on many of the Barix patients with open arms. www.liveweighbariatrics.com There are also WLS doctors at Good Shepard in Barrington, some in Harvard, Woodstock and also many, many in the suburban Chgo area. If she wants to travel to WI I have read that there are bariatric docs in Madison and Milwaukee. Let us know if we can help more. Chris

Dear Vesta: I used to live in Rockford, but now live in Stephenson County. I had the Bariatric Center at the UW of Madison with Drs. Gould & Garren, and I would recommend their program to everyone (an do as you can see!) They have a comprehensive multi-disiplinary team and are wonderful! Much better care that any of the Rockford hospitals (IMHO). Good luck to your cousin! Dawn
