A few more questions please.
OK I know 2 people who have had bypass they both are too small im my opinion a size zero. one of them now has ostioprosis (sp) how common is this and can I help be chance of not getting this before the surgery.
I am also readong all these things online all the time BUt I would rather hear the info from someone on here whos been through it or going through it.
Is there a way to NOT get that small? Or basically tdo you take whatever size that happens to you?
I have also been readin on the death rate ect. there are so many number out there one artical I read even said as many as 1 in 50 patients die as a result from bypass. but icve also read its more like 1 in 350 people. How come there are so many different numbers out there.
I believe if you take you multivitamins and supplements you should be good with osteoporosis. I think you body know what size you should be and some patients go from being obese to anorexic but it because they become obsesses with losing weight and afraid of gaining. usually once you get to your goal weight you would increase your calories a little not a lot and you hold steady. maybe add a little more carb? now this is just my opinion I am not a dr. I have been on the boards and researching for 4 years. I am just letting you know some of the things I have heard. I don't think the mortality rate is that low. Maybe that is having a complication which could be vomiting or chronic diarrhea As far as we have come since they first started I just don't believe the rate can be that high. best wishes
