I'm off to see my Wizard!
Hi Chris. As I was getting up early this morning, I was thinking about you. I've said my prayers for you and Dr. Madry for a most successful and uneventful surgery. As I am writing this note, you are sleeping and Dr. Madry is doing his magic on you.
Can't wait to hear from you. Rest today. Get lots of sleep. We'll wait to hear from you when you are up to it.
God bless!
Hugs and Love,
Lucy

Well, the surgery was uneventful and went smoothly but getting to the surg center wasn't. I was supposed to be picked up at 5am for a 6am arrival but at 520am the driver still wasn't at our house. I called downtown to the center got the answering service and they had the driver call us. He was a little arrogant on the phone to Dave (to find out that he was having mechanical problems with his car). He said to Dave "what do you want me to do?" Anyways, come to find out he was having a tire issue. I spoke to him a few minutes later and and expressed my displeasure of him not having the courtesy of at least calling us. I wasn't picked up until 6am. We got down there safely. The center had been alerted that I was running an hour late. I was the doctor's only case today so it ended up OK in the end. The driver ended up being a wonderful person and admitted to the fact that it wasn't right of him not to call. I guess that he was experiencing his own stresses on his end with the car. We did hit some bad traffic in the Loop because of the St Paddy's Day parade; lot of crazy and drunk people down there at about 130. Then there was a car that was on fire on the Eisenhower extension near Addison, IL that cause a nasty back up. He could not avoid that, but I really needed my pain pills by that time. That was the first thing that I popped when I got in the house. I had come left over Vicodin from my nose surgery last fall.
I am not in too much pain as long as I take my meds. The areas on the breast sides really burn when the meds wear off. Dr Steve gave me double strength Vicodin because he said that I would really need it.
He ended up doing some lipo in addition to the lipectomy revision.
Need to get some water into me. Dave brought me home a sandwich from the party a while ago and it was salty.
I'll check back in on Sunday.
Chris
