Happy Mid Week
Sort of *****y, I am a morning person and always feel great at that time of day. The wait in the doc's office was aweful. I at least thought ahead to take a pillow with to sit on otherwise it would have been worse.
It was so great to get that grungy binder off and all the tape pulled off where it could come off. Dr Steve is not too gentle sometimes and he whipped it right off pubby hair and all! He kept looking at me and exclaiming how great I looked. He is such a proud daddy when it comes to his handy work. I now feel clean, have a tee shirt on under a clean binder and am good to go for the rest of the day. I was becoming so irritated from the binder biting into my skin that I am raw in places.
I am going to lay down for a while away from a TV and computer. We are having router connection problems and are waiting for a call this evening from a friend that is our IT fixer upper person. I am on this computer only because it is hardwired connected to the computer service.

Hi Chris. Dr. Madry has been so busy this week. I had my appointment yesterday and he was late in the Barrington office. The room was full; not a chair available.
He walked in around 6 pm. My appointment was scheduled for 5 pm. I didn't see him for another 30 minutes. He's way too busy between the office and surgery.
He does get so excited over his own work! He couldn't wait to see my new boobs. I feel like they're too big, but he thinks they are small. He wants me to wear a underwire bra 24/7 for now. I am wearing TED compression stockings over my arms. That is something I came up with. I got tired of wearing the ace wraps that kept sliding down. I cut off the foot portion and then the thigh portion and used them as sleeves. It worked out wonderfully.
Yikes! Just the thought of him ripping off the tape from the pubic area! I took off my tapes before that time. I get tape burns easily so I slowly pulled them off of my abdomen and pubic area.
Glad to hear that you got an appointment! I'll be seeing him on Wednesday, April 4th for my next post-op appointment.
Take care!

I mentioned to Robin that he needs a PA or another doc in that office and she said that they are real busy right now because of spring breaks, everyone coming home to have surgery etc. I am concerned of burn out with him or his family life suffering with his little girl and wife.
Good idea about the TED hose, but an expensive idea. Your breasts will shrink you are really swollen right now and will be for a while longer.
I go back next Wednesday if not sooner for the drain. There really wasn't any other way to take the tape off but fast but I am glad that I was sitting down at the time because he was having me model on the little pull out shelf for the exam table. I still feel fantastic with a clean binder on and some anti itch lotion that I use.

Hi Chris. I agree that Dr. Madry is getting burned out. The day of my surgery he looked exhausted. Hopefully it is just the time of year with spring and spring breaks that he is so busy.
Actually the cost of the TED stockings was cheap in comparison to buying a compression garment or sleeves commercially. I only paid $33.00 - that's cheap in my book. It provided two important functions for me: 1 to keep the bandages in place and 2 to reduce swelling. It did both of these things. It was worth every penny. I'll be saving the sleeves in case I need them for some other reason - like if I get an injury to the arm. It works so well.
Too bad we don't have the same appointment day! Unless he wants to see you in another week after your appointment next Wednesday. Then we may finally meet! My appointment is scheduled for 2 pm.
It's great that we can stand on that pull out shelf or step on the exam table. When I was SMO I hated that step! I was always afraid I was going to tilt the table and have it fall on me.
I had my drain for a week this time. I couldn't wait to get it out of me! I have no more tapes anywhere on my surgical incisions. I just get so itchy with them. I was careful not to pull off any crusts on my incisions so there would be no bleeding. Now I am all crusty! The tapes on my arms were getting to me. I did keep them on for over a week post-op. I didn't want my incisions to open up, especially the ones where the arm bends over. That is a touchy area.
I just bought a C cup bra and feel so big. I sure hope the size goes down. Jeepers, he wanted me to go up to a 400 cc implant - I would have been a D or DD right now. That's not for me. I miss being more flat. Now I think I should have just gotten a lift. Well, we'll see as time goes by.
Take care and have a great day!
Lucy
