my testing
OK I finished all my testing today except my cardiologist wants me to have an echo stress test done before he will OK surgery
thankfully They got me in at the hospital this wend at 9:15 am so if that goes well then I am all set.
here is the test i had to have: each dr is different!
sleep study done a year ago: have sleep apnea
dietitian:done for 3 years (monthly meetings) only required with siu comp clinic
blood work: done needed to up my thyroid meds
ultrasound of gallbladder and spleen: sludge in the gallbladder so it will come out on surgery day
pulmonary function test with blood gas today all went well
EKG is normal but he wants a stress test as well.
chest xray was normal.
psy evaluation 3 years(had to go to monthly meetings) only with comp clinic with mm pi test(300 questions true false)

I will keep you in my prayers! I am so excited for you that you are finally getting to have surgery. The day will be here before you know it.
I would make sure you get a copy of all your tests just incase the dr needs them again or they say they get lost. Our hospitals are not the best on paperwork here!
Hugs,
Shelley
Our big days are coming up soon. All I have left is the ultrasound of abdomen and chest xray. The cardiologist did not request a stress test for me and they had me concerned. I called Lesley and she said not to worry......but I do worry because I have an arrythmia. I am seeing Dr. F Thursday and will discuss it further with him. I will probably see you in the hospital next week.

Thanks shar
I can't wait till we are finally losers!!! I don't know why my cardiologist is having me do that!! My EKG was normal. I think it is because my brother Danny died of a blood clot when he was 2. He had a hole in his heart and when they operated he didn't make it. But that was in 1974. so I go wend and then I leave Saturday after lee gets off work to go to Chicago! I am no longer scared I am just anxious to get this done and restart my life!
Hi Dee. Wow, your day is almost here. It does get overwhelming with all the pre-op requirements. By the time you go through all the screening, you are definitely ready for the surgery.
I had to have a stress test and had no problems with it. I had normal findings so I was relieved.
You'll be in my prayers for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. I'm excited for you. It's going to be a brand new life for you!
Hugs,
Lucy
